Super 8 by Wyndham Houston Hobby Airport North

Pleasantly surprised by the room for the price! We left before breakfast, but the coffee was terrible - that's my only complaint. The room was clean and comfortable, and the ladies at the front desk were more than helpful. Loved the free shuttle to the airport! Will be staying here again.
This place was scary! Reserved a room here because the online reviews were good and the pics looked good. It was just for a quick overnight stay after landing at 9pm. The lady at the front desk didn't acknowledge us when we came in so we stood there for a couple of minutes then were helped. Checking in took 10 minutes then when we went to our room it smelled awful and was filthy! One bed was unmade, the other had dirty linens piled on it and there were dirty washcloths on the bathroom sink. We immediately went back to the front desk and asked for a refund. She called the manager who tried to convince me to take a different room for a discount, but I refused. He just glared at me and told her to give me the refund. We couldn't get out of there fast enough!
Hotel was very clean, bed was very comfortable, staff was courteous and the airport shuttle was on point! A bit dated, but very well maintained. Location is stellar for flying in/out of Hobby. Only complaint was minuscule details... no toilet paper spindle, battery cover missing on remote, rust on the nickel plated lamps. While these are items that should be addressed, they did not affect my stay at all. I would recommend to anyone, and plan to stay again when I fly out of Hobby in the future.
The air conditioning in the room never got cold, ceiling tiles in the hall were missing and it smelled wet, the elevator was out of order & had to carry lounge upstairs after having major surgery a few weeks ago. The size the room was nice but the room also had an Oder to it, the room numbers were painted on the door & looked like a child had done it. This could be a nice hotel if it was maintained.
I checked into this motel because I was on a layover flight that would be leaving at 5am the next morning. I figure it would be the perfect set up since I could walk across the street to my airport when it was time to go. I checked into the motel around 5:15pm and the lady the desk was nice. I went into the room and after 2 hours I started coughing very badly. I have asthma and did not have any inhaler on me. I went into the bathroom to run the shower so steam could help me breath better. I noticed in the bathroom above the towel rack that there was mold and also a hole in the area where the mold was. I quickly gathered my things and walked out to the front to check out because I couldn't stay there. I asked the lady at the front desk to prorate me the two hours I stayed there or just give me back my money all together. She said she couldn't do that and I had to speak to the manager/supervisor, some lady name Daphne who she called on the phone once she told me that she was not allowed to give me a copy of the paper I signed upon checking into the room. I only stayed in the room for 2 hours so I was upset at not getting a refund immediately. I hope this gets resolved without it being escalated. I wouldn't advise anyone to stay here.
