The atmosphere and the vibe is great....humming. the bar area has communal seating and had few booths. The main dining area have all tables (may be a few booths... don't remember). The food is out of this world. The chef "really" knows what he is doing by infusing just the right amount of some South Asian spices to the food to take it to the next level. Wish we had a restaurant like that in Nashville.

15/10!! Went for brunch at Big Bad Breakfast and was lucky enough to be sat at Snackbar. Maggie and Trip were awesome and made us feel so welcomed, they shared the Snackbar menu and we decided to go back for dinner. Every single thing we ate and drank, and every employee we interacted with was top notch. Some of the best oysters we’ve ever had, the mushrooms and French onion soup were phenomenal and the whiskey sours were some of the best I’ve ever had. It was the highlight of the trip, literally cannot wait to go back!

This place was so cool, drinks, food but most of all the service. Alyssa as hostess, Chelsea as the server and we observed Max with another table. All wonderful, welcoming and great recommendations. There are speakeasy vibes. We will be back!!!

I used to enjoy dining at this restaurant, but it has become one of the worst “nice” restaurants in Oxford. This opinion is based on a series of bad experiences including having to wait 30+ minutes for a table WITH a reservation on multiple occasions. Most recently, I made a reservation for my husband’s birthday weeks in advance and had a terrible experience. We waited 35 minutes for a booth, which I requested with my reservation, only for the staff to attempt to seat us at one of the worst tables on the floor, which was available from the moment we walked into the restaurant. The service was incredibly slow. We were seated for over 15 minutes before our drink order was taken. The food was subpar, and my husband’s steak was burnt. The table behind us had a birthday and received a dessert, and the staff sang “happy birthday.” My husband’s birthday was not acknowledged in any way despite the fact that I noted it on the reservation and verbally told the staff upon arrival. Multiple staff members were rude. So frustrating for the $150+ price tag and for choosing to dine at Snackbar on a special occasion. If you’re booking a dinner reservation in Oxford, I would suggest St. Leo or SoLa instead.

The wife and I went on a Tuesday night during spring break thinking it would be all but dead. It was bustling! Excellent first experience and can’t wait to go back. I had a quail stuffed with boudin served over black beans and a fried green tomato. It was fantastic! My wife had a gulf fish curry that I usually wouldn’t think I’d like but it was also really good. Great service and ambience.
