This is a very nice Safeway. Nicer than most we have see across the country. Had some very good looking produce and fruits. We did a small shopping and almost got everything we wanted. There was one item we couldnt find so we asked for help. This item was a circular item which just started today so it should have been on the floor and available. The manager told us they decided to remove them instead and ship it back. He had a really poor attitude about it and didnt care. I cant understand how a manager can decide to override corporate and then not even care that a customer is dissapointed but find it humorous instead. Bad management. He needs to go back to customer satisfaction training. Other than him, this place is really nice. The checkout person even told me he would cry for me if I wanted. He wasnt being sarcastic too was he?

Just got a fruit bowl from them through Instacart, bowl was 90% pineapple with unripe kiwi and strawberries. Y'all need to know when fruit is ripe and learn what false advertising is.

Decent selection, self-checkout for the private folks who like to do it themselves. Though I've needed an attendant every time I've used it, so I always go for a cashier's lane. Prices have been creeping up slightly-- still generally a good deal, as long as you find the things that are on sale. Using the app is pretty much a must at this point.

As a travel nurse, I've spent the last few weeks here in the beautiful city of Roseburg living out of a hotel. My first stop anywhere is to find a Safeway. I've been in and out getting meals here rather than fast food everyday. Today I decided I wanted hot cooked chicken tenders to go on my salad. Well, they were out at the to go area. But, Camran went above and beyond. He could have said, "Sorry we are out", but he did not. Camran checked the back, then checked the freezer and brought some up to be cooked for me. You have no idea how much that meant! Thank you for feeding this ole girl. And, thanks for letting me know about when I can get the best deals. Well done!!

So expensive even with the dumb member discounts that they place all over the store. One of the only places that charges extra for cans. If you advertise 2/$6 that’s what the price should be if you’re going to charge for cans it should be 2/$6.20 that is false advertising and you should be sued. Minimum wage is so low but the stores charge high prices just because they are the only Safeway for milesss I will shop at winco a gas station is even cheaper than buying groceries here with or without the discount.
