We decided last-minute to extend our beach trip overnight and this was the cheapest room available. It looked very run-down on the outside but like other reviews have said, the room was clearly recently remodeled and perfect - no smells or stains, plenty of outlets and lights, and generally great value for the price. The man working the front desk was very friendly and helpful as well, and nothing about the area seemed unsafe, plus we were just 5 minutes from the beach by foot. Only thing to watch out for is highway noise, didn't bother me but could see being difficult with younger children. Would stay again!
We booked this accommodation last minute as we found ourselves passing through during high season. Like other reviews mentioned, it is newly remodelled. We were pleasantly surprised as the outside is nothing special. Plenty of free parking, safe neighborhood, close to the highway and the beach. Bed was comfortable, no issues in the room, very clean, Honshu better than some of the holiday inn and La quintas we’ve stayed in before. Nice lady at reception. Only thing was the wifi didn’t work on the second floor by the stairway but we had data so it didn’t matter.
A cheap, clean hotel, close to all things Newport has to offer. The rooms have been recently remodeled. There is a large mini-fridge with a freezer, big screen TV, desk area, bed was relatively comfortable, the floors were hard and sand from the beach kept sticking to my feet (I prefer carpet), the water pressure in the shower was wonky - it would go full blast then lighten up then turn ice cold back to hot but it eventually evened out. We were on the backside of the hotel across from the hospital. Overall, you couldn't beat the price (especially since we just needed a place to sleep, since we were out all day). I'd stay here again.
My son and I came up to Newport last night for a weekend getaway. I am a single father, money is tight so I called the cheapest place I could think of, so Motel 6 it was... or so I thought. Motel 6 wanted $336 a night... this is where I fainted lol not really but omg really?!!! I called Money Saver Motel and to my surprise the prices were definitely positively within my budget. We showed up after a 3 hr trip to get to Newport and I just wanted to rest. After an easy peazy check in we headed to our room. When I opened the door to our room I was pleasantly surprised!!! The room is beautiful, comfortable, quite and VERY CLEAN!!! I feel like we hit the jackpot! Now I get to make life lasting memories with my son without breaking the bank. Thank you to the Money Saver Motel and their staff. You guys rock and I'd suggest this place to anyone you will not be disappointed. Also thank you Mary for the welcoming simple check in. I will forever be a customer when we come here to visit.
The exterior needs some love but the rooms are fantastic. Recently remodeled and very clean. Love being here.
