This is an awesome place. I've been to breweries from Breckenridge to Ashville to Key West and this place is something special. The beer was great, moonshine fantastic, even the bourbon was good. They had awesome top notch live music. I can not say enough about our experience. I posted pics so you can see how cute and quaint this place is. I love being able to pour my own beer. No wait and you can do tasters or the whole cup. Cutting edge tech in a tiny sleepy town.
I thought Indianapolis was the land of craft beer but I was wrong. After a random trip to Madison for the weekend, we decided to check out some local places. My host for the weekend suggested here and I’m glad she did! Located in historic Madison on a corner you’ll find mad paddle brewery, they had a food truck on the outside which I always love then brewery’s have that as an option. The inside is simply decorated and clean, you can sit at the bar or different tables as options. The bar tenders are very friendly! I enjoyed the conversations I had with each and the recommendations that they gave. I tried all the in house beers and each were delicious! I love that they had what I consider short pours so you can enjoy all of the flavor but not get tanked. Mad paddle also has a ton of games! I actually learned how to play dominos. Make sure to check out the hard copy of the menu, it offers a loving tribute to Indiana alcohol laws
So much fun. Great place. They make it clear the establishment isn't built for kids but we still brought our 3 and 6 year old and sat outside no problem. Just kept them entertained so they weren't running around. The outside seating area is really nice, the inside is huge and unique. Was very sad to hear the uncommon pizza is going away as it was quite delicious.
Historic building and cool venue for craft brewing. Ales, IPAs and fruited beers. We had a cream ale, blueberry ale, stout, APA and IPA. Nothing too complex but they do these beers real well, crisp and clean with great flavor. Good pizza menu as well. Live music on certain nights. Close to the riverfront in beautiful downtown Madison.
Stopped by while in town today and loved the place. Great IPA's and a cool bar area. Nice patio outside. The owner was great as well. Brought home a 6 pack of growlers we liked it so much. We'll be back again.
