La Quinta - A Mixed Experience** I recently stayed at La Quinta for three nights, and my experience was quite mixed. While there were some positive aspects, several issues left much to be desired. Firstly, the cleanliness of the room was a significant concern. The towels provided were dirty and had hair on them, which was very off-putting. The carpet in the room was sticky and didn't seem to have been vacuumed properly. Additionally, the bedsheets looked questionable, making it difficult to feel comfortable. Our room was located right next to the elevator, and it was very loud every time the elevator arrived on our floor. The thin walls didn't help either, as we could hear people partying next door, which disrupted our sleep. And throughout the hotel, there was a foul smell. The breakfast offered was nothing special. The juice machine had an acquired taste, which made me question whether it had been cleaned or if the juice hadn't been changed. On a positive note, the lady at the front desk was very nice. However, her appearance was not very presentable for the first person you meet upon entering the hotel. She wore a headscarf, her hair was unkempt, and her shirt was baggy and untidy. The cleaning ladies were the nicest staff members, although they didn't realize I spoke Spanish and made some remarks. Fortunately, nothing they said was too serious. All in all, we had a bed to sleep in, but that was about it. I would rate my stay at La Quinta 2.5 stars out of 5. While the staff was generally friendly, the cleanliness and noise issues significantly detracted from our overall experience. I hope the management addresses these concerns to improve the experience for future guests.
Being in the chaos during the visit from hurricane beryl the staff and management went above and beyond to accommodate their guest. Although they too were experiencing the repercussion of this storm, they did not forget about their guest and upheld great customer service. The manager of hotel went as far as keeping in touch after they closed and when they reopened saw to it that I had my room back. All this considered made my time way less stressful and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. They deserve 10 stars. Keep up the great work and thanks again.
I recommend this hotel. A month ago I stayed there for 3 nights. The room was nice and clean and the cleaning staff was amazing. I was so happy I decided to book again . Unfortunately the hurricane came through and caused my trip to to be postponed due to power outages. The staff worked with me to cancel my booking. Then there was another mix up with the 3rd party I had used and LaQuinta again worked with me to get it fixed. I can only imagine how overwhelming and chaotic this has made their job. They have handled it professionally and with courtesy. When my prior engagement is rescheduled I will be booking with this establishment again.
The room was okay. The hotel needs a deep cleaning. First floor carpet is filthy. The appearance of the lady manager is a terrible reflection upon the hotel itself. She had a du-rag on her head, clothing completely disheveled. The housekeeper was in street clothes. I know uniforms are provided. Thus hotel seemed very much not in brand with the other Wyndham properties.
First room we entered had a very noisy toilet. Staff was quick to find us another room. However...this room had little gnats flying around the bed area. A/C was working but the room was very humid. Breakfast was standard free breakfast stuff. Front desk took way too long to check us in and wasn't especially friendly. Wouldn't stay here again.
