As a stopping point, I rented a room with a jacuzzi for my wife and me for our anniversary. We made our long drive and arrived after 3:00 p.m. The lady at the front desk didn't acknowledge me even though I walked in and up to her desk. I had to say hello first, which seemed off for a customer service job. She wasn't pleasant at all but I just wanted to get up to the room to get ready for all of our reservations for later that day. After I carried a bunch of things up to the room I noticed our room was not right; there was no jacuzzi. I put my stuff inside and went back downstairs to the front desk and informed her of the issue. She told me that the room was booked already and that my itinerary said it was a standard room. I showed her my emailed copy of the itinerary and how it clearly said it was the suite with the jacuzzi. She said there was nothing she could do. She didn't even say she was sorry this was happening and offered nothing to ease the disappointment. We tried reaching out to upper management but they told us to pound sand. I paid full price for a room I would not have rented. It was a bait and switch. Note: I have since received a call (a week or so after this event) from the hotel but I wasn't able to pick up. They left a message wanting to talk about the situation but I have already done an extensive review through their own system. I didn't hear anything about compensation or anything like that so I'm not going to waste any more time than I've already spent trying to get this figured out.

Always had a good experience with holiday inn express with work and this was a nice hotel. I found on a whim and booked. We had a great time while on property and the room was pretty nice overall. We had a clean and bright room on the first floor. Stayed in town for a show at the GSR and this was conveniently located about a mile away, right down the street. They had fresh cookies in the lobby upon arrival which we scored a couple, and really enjoyed the hot breakfast the next morning. Will definitely be booking again.

I stayed at this location last month. For the most part, it was a great day, the room is roomy and nice. Breakfast was great There’s plenty of options even for the pickiest of eaters. They have a wide variety of breakfast items. There’s plenty of parking. There are not a lot of restaurants nearby for lunch or dinner you would definitely have to drive to them. This Hotel was recently remodeled however I had connectivity issues with the Wi-Fi so I probably won’t stay here again, but overall, it is a great hotel.

Had an awesome experience while in town for the Strange Brewfest. Not far from downtown, but not so close to make a ten minute walk. Breakfast had everything you could want: waffles, pancakes, omelettes, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, etc. Dining area was enormous. Rooms were clean. Bathroom had necessary amenities and good water pressure. I’m six feet tall and often the shower heads are chin level. Not the case here. Microwave, Keurig, and mini fridge were all available. In house store had a wide variety of snacks and microwaveable foods. Only complaint - and it is minor - is that I had to wait fifteen minutes to check in. They were either short staffed due to a sick call or the desk clerk was required to take their break. Was the double queen room worth $180? No. For that price it should’ve been two rooms. But these days, everything is overpriced across the board. Good deals do not exist anymore. Corporations care more about profit margins than customer loyalty. Someday hotels will learn from the likes of Costco and offer incredible value for the price and finding vacancies will be the problem rather than being able to afford a single night at a hotel.

Stayed here last week. Would stay here again. As others (Steven, being one of them) mentioned, the front desk person was, well, aloof. Not a horrible interaction. But not interested in the process, if you get my drift. And I can only assume that it has to do with being staff at a Holiday Inn, near the airport, in Reno. But, still. That said, the request for a few more coffee pods was a step up. She seemed to smile. At least I think she did. It might have been a trick of light in that super-duper lobby, complete with barn doors for the breakfast area. Barn doors in Reno? Will that ever go out of style? Rooms were as expected. The only major issues are the bathroom lights and the dispensers. Can you put a damper on those darn lights?!?! I am not looking for hidden treasures or fatigue lines. And the dispensers, while providing the needed soaps and potions, are just gross. I understand they are ‘tamper-proof’. But they are really not. And I get that they are better for the environment. But I am not a body wash person. I want a bar of soap. The location is what it is. There is a gutted-out car sitting across the street from the hotel (no tires, just rims, with a rock sitting against the back driver’s side wheel). I went outside for a smoke in the morning and an unhoused fellow with a nice-looking cellphone decided to get into a staring contest with me (wait for it . . . I won!). One evening I was outside (again, smoking) and a van full of guests arrived, only to spit and spit and spit around the ashtray that was thankfully located by the rear exit (not the hotel’s problem, but what are you all doing spitting like there is a contest going on?!?!). And there was, at least one evening, a strong sense that someone who was outside came inside while smoking the devil’s lettuce. You do you. But, please don’t think that I like you doing you (and I am a smoker) just outside of, and a bit inside of, the hotel. Prices are to be expected. Would stay here again. Just offering some observations.
