Every year, as we're visiting family for Christmas, we take an afternoon and go check out a movie at the Pittsburgh 8 AMC theater. It's a great little theater and the staff is always friendly. The little mall in which it's located as a blast from the past but is always fun to visit.
I feel like giving it a 3 was a gift as uncomfortable as the seats are. Used to go to lots of movies there in the 80s and 90s and never was so uncomfortable. Smelled worse than a rode hard commercial jet, similar odor, just stronger. Temp was in the 90s that day and the theater was none too cool. Sound system rocked as usual, could hear the audio from the adjacent movie pretty well. Won't be back.
Watched the new Godzilla vs. Kong movie, it was good and they offered 3d at fairly cheap prices. Their food was good and cooked correctly. Staff wasn't rude or unfriendly but just kinda seemed like they didn't care to be there.
It's a movie theater, you get to watch a movie but it's small and the rows of seats don't have stairs so your eyes can be the same height as the screen. That's the only downside, but you do get to choose your own seat which is nice. Food and drinks are amazing though. Recommend the Blue ICEE
The 3-D movies are great. The staff was friendly and the theater was great. Expensive but worth it
