Alpine Motor Inn
What people are saying
When we pulled up, the host was waiting to great us. He was friendly and accommodating. When we entered the room, it was completely modern and clean. It looked to be newly renovated. The host had turned on the AC for us prior to our arrival, which was a nice thought. The sheets were comfortable and clean. There were even fresh wildflowers in a vase in the room! There were nice soaps and shampoos for each guest and nice storage for stuff. There is a mini fridge and microwave, as well as a tv with cable. The view from the back balcony was nothing crazy but I thought it was nice. Overall I think it’s a great place to stay, especially for the price. I’m actually quite picky too! I was really nervous after reading some of the reviews about this place. I’m glad I decided to stay here.
Stayed at this vile establishment last year for my annual fall foliage trip to Lake Placid. I had figured, considering it’s proximity to the town as well as a beautiful golf course next-door that this would be a good spot to stay. Oh boy was I wrong, I ended up getting bitten by bedbugs head to toe with bites all over my face, the bedsheets had blood on them either from the massacre that was occurring overnight from me getting ingested by bedbugs, or from the prior person who had slept there before me and their experience with the bedbugs. The manager did nothing even after showing pictures of the bites all over my face . I have never been more disgusted and turned off by any hotel in my entire life. Stay away from this place!!
Do not ever stay here. Called to make sure we were all set for our stay and the lady said yes we are all good. Show up for our vacation and the guy at the front informs us that our room was canceled. His demeanor was almost like he was waiting for us to show up, so he could laugh at us. Yes he was laughing while telling us he didn’t have a place for us to stay. Absolutely disgusting. Please do not waste your money or your time on this sorry excuse for a hotel.
The Alpine Motor Inn is NOTHING like described on their website. The restaurant/bar wasn't open. The room was very small and not clean. Papers, etc. found on floor. Two different floors as you walked in as if patched. Tub not clean and the toilet loose. We paid extra to have a room with a view, there was a golf course you could see on the left and you could see the mountains to the left but that was the view. The lawn was not kept. No ice or soda machine. The coffee they say is available is in a small room in the office but there was only one small pack of coffee, no cups, etc. No maid service although there was an envelope in the room for a tip. I would never recommend that anyone stay there. The worst motel I ever stayed in. There was even a long black strand of hair in the sink and neither I or my friend has long or even black hair. There was no place to put your bathroom items such as toothbrush, etc. except on the bathroom window sill.
Really nothing good to say about this place. The heat in our room is broken so a fireplace type wall hanger thingy pumps heat into the room til you wake up in a pool of sweat. The room now smells like an old wet dog... But was never overpowered by the giant Glade plug-in that we had to unplug.... Not a good scent. Almost rolled out of bed because of the collapsed mattress on one side... You can feel the springs trying to massage your back. I'm told black mold is bad to be near.... So I guess the crop growing on the bathroom window is probably a bad thing. Purple paint... Home made lumber furniture,...
