So grateful we chose to stay here last weekend. We have stayed all over Lake Placid and, honestly, this place can't be beat for the price. You are right at the edge of the strip, within easy walking distance of everything. The room was extremely clean, from carpets to the bathroom, refrigerator, and bed. (Note, if you are looking for the fridge, it's in the bathroom.) Water pressure was terrific, room smelled pleasant, and rooms seemed soundproofed (we were right next to the pool and the sound didn't carry in to our room). It was literally a third of the price of places we have stayed at before and cleaner than any of them. Highly recommend booking here, as we will again in the future.
I had a great stay at The Devlin this week. Comfortable and unpretentious, it's a superior value to the wildly overpriced fancy places in town - Lake Placid is pricey enough as it is. Near several restaurants and bars, you are within walking distance of just about everything. The room met all of my needs, had great water pressure in the shower, and everything was spotless. I couldn't ask for more. If/when I return to the Lake Placid area, I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Devlin again.
We had a wonderful time, place was great, clean! Amazing customer service. Breakfast was perfect, espacially for the kids! Donuts, Bagel, Muffins, Waffle all wrapped individually. Room was clean, clean beds & comfortable. Location was fantastic, walkable distance to downtown, restaurants... Pool like new! Coffee in the room, clean carpet! We loved it and we will be back :)
We stayed here for 2 nights. We were close to everything to be able to walk everywhere. Our hotel was located on the second level and the patio door didn’t lock which wasn’t too bad because it was high up. The a/c worked well since it was hot outside. We went in the pool and it was nice because of the hot weather. The pillows were too fluffy which was a downside. I wasn’t too impressed with their breakfast. We went elsewhere. They had only granola bars, bagels in a wrapper and muffins.
THE BEST place to stay in Lake Placid-Saranac Lake. We stayed at the Hilton in Saranac the night before and this place blew it away. Giant rooms, gorgeous and clean, impeccable mountain views. And right on the edge of the main strip so you're not sacrificing on the location at all. Beds were extremely comfortable and clean, plenty of hot water, body wash/shampoos smell amazing, towels are clean and soft, our basic room had a fridge, microwave, AND coffee maker. Bathroom sink area was perfect for makeup users - great lighting and lots of space for toiletry bags. Absolutely perfect and one of the best places I've ever stayed.
