Walmart Supercenter
What people are saying
I’m sure I won’t be the only one leaving this review tonight. Unbelievable that this corporation has no plan in place to pay for anything when the internet fails. So we all left our groceries. Some frozen and they will prob have to be trashed the right thing would have been to allow people to take some items. Good will type of situations —instead they prefer to toss it. Some people were waiting in $ to get food for kids and now every place is closed. It’s not like there are a lot of choices here. Cannot believe a large Corp has no plans
My Girlfriend, the boys and I all went to the Walmart Super Center in Rockwood, TN. I knew that Walmart's are everywhere but I did not know where we were until we were in the Parking Lots of Walmart. The Walmart in Rockwood is Massive, I was really surprised because this Walmart was bigger than some of the Walmart's in Knoxville, TN. This Walmart had a Huge selection of things that are purchasable. I spent most of my time in the Garden Area and the Produce Area. We were there for about an hour or so. There was lots of things to see for me. I took pictures of course, I did know know until we were leaving about a couple different things. Like, I did not know they had Battery Operated Carts for Handicap persons, I was manually wheeling myself around that store, but I know for the future. And they have a Section of Checkout registers called Scan & Go, Self Checkout, which is cool indeed. There was plenty of parking, Wheelchair accessible, and The Staff are friendly & helpful.
They treat everyone like common thief. They stand over you in an invasive manner at the self check and then recheck your receipt while your leaving the store. This is after they are watching you on camera. This is to much. I understand they may or may not have a lot of folks stealing from the store but that doesn't give them the right to treat everyone as if they are stealing. Some of their employees are common thieves and they are not watching them as much as paying customer's. They have one door greater that some seem to love his name is Jeff he is nice to some and very rude to others but yet they uphold his behavior. I do not think he should interact in the manner he does with children. Not everyone wants their children to accept candy from strangers. My child has juvenile diabetes and as he would not be aware of that it makes it difficult for me to tell my child they can't take candy from this stranger for many reasons while he is very loud and making himself very noticeable giving candy to other children and he doesn't even ask before doing it. That's not a good thing. He is supposed to great customer's in a professional manner and apparently check receipts on the way out the door. That should be all!
This morning's adventure: looking for aisle A39. The pleasant, hard working Coke employee didn't know. As I was giving up, I found 4 Walmart employees "stocking" in front of grocery area. They weren't making eye contact. Finally I interrupted their conversation, they directed me to A40, not A39. Which is next to Bakery and A 1/2? Not logical at ALL. Only to try to check out under the intense scrutiny of a employee at the "self-checkouts". I'd rather use a person or pickup (wasn't available when I tried to sign up for time). Then dodged a few potholes the size of Buicks as I finally escaped. (Walmart and Road crews have alot in common on their road/parking lot maintenance policies)
I'm waiting for Walmart upper management to issue handcuffs and batons to their door greeters. They are the new loss prevention officers. By the way there are a plethora of things wrong with how they do it. If you are gonna check receipts then actually check them. Then place the customer under arrest. You make customers very unhappy but that's what makes you happy.
