Vue Rooftop

Absolutely love this bar! The view is spectacular!! Fell in love with it when I first moved to D.C. 13 years ago, and still love it today. Definitely recommend visiting here if you’re in town or want to show friends/family a nice view of the city with great food/drinks.
Another phenomenal rooftop bar! This place is also the vibe. They have a DJ some nights and this place turns into a club! The food good but the drinks were too small for the price. I gave this place a e-star for service because of the hostess. We had a reservation, we checked in and they seem to have forgotten about us. I had to check back twice just to be seated. I would comeback to this rooftop but it would not be my first choice due to the service and the size of their drinks. The moomraker has similar prices but their drinks are tiny.
I went here with some friends on a weekend. We made sure to make a reservation and was seated promptly upon arrival. Drinks were good. I personally had the Sea Bass, which was good, but needed the yellow pepper sauce to add some overall flavor to the dish. I did enjoy their Crab Croquettes and the Grilled Broccolini Caesar from a friend's plate more. Overall, I had a really nice experience.
We came to Vue to enjoy the views and check out the espresso martinis. They were actually really good! Our desire to have a full meal there was mitigated by the reviews so we just stuck to a couple of appetizers which included the hummus, absolutely fantastic, and the calamari, which was a little lackluster. Service was OK but I really don’t care for the constant need to take away my plate while I’m still working on it, I mean repeatedly, and it was obvious I was still working on it, especially with the expensive prices. I also don’t like the automatic charge in gratuity or as everyone likes to call it “service fee” because I feel like it determines the service before I can actually experience it but overall the views were amazing… Onto the next.
I would have given a higher rating for a regular night, but we were there to see the fireworks. We spent good money for the tickets, it was however crowded with little view given the amount of open space we can look through to "see" the fireworks. I wouldnt do it again. Food was pretty average too. But might be pretty amazing for a regular night.
