Book vs Cover Don’t let this old time Motel scare you away. Yes it is old but my room was clean, good sleep quality bed/pillows… The shower was fine with plenty of hot water. Towel was a little ragged, but clean/soft (unlike Motel 6). The older couple own the 10 rooms & maintain themselves. You could see the pride they took in my pictures. Must be very difficult to maintain a building of this age. All the appliances worked. Room 125 is no smoking & had no smoke or smells of any kind. (They do have smoking rooms if you wish) Large parking lot that can accommodate an RV, trailers, or semi. My price for Sunday night (solo) was $51.

We were traveling through Vanhorn and stayed here. Our stay was great no problems at all. The guy Russel at the counter was friendly and answered all of our questions. We will be back!

Owner said the room had two queen beds, they were doubles. Cigarette burns in blanket and foul odor to room with ages old carpet. Bathroom shower didn't work well and tile work was a mess. I know the price was good, but I've been in a lot nicer $50 motel rooms. Old AC/Heater noisy, made whinny sounds on and off and fan would not shut off, old unit.

Ticks the boxes for a 1 star motel. I saw a few bad reviews but didn't experience any of it. The family that owns the motel was friendly, the room was clean and the adjacent road/railway didn't bother. Wi-Fi was ok and laundromat across the road was helpful. Remember - you get what you pay for, so rate the place fairly.

It was what you expect in luxury, which is not much. The room decor was very outdated. The main reason to stay here is the beds, VERY CLEAN, and VERY comfortable. Worth the price and stop for a weary traveler.
