I definitely do not recommend renting a car from thrifty or any Hertz owed company in the future. I arrived at MCO! I thank God I took a shuddle to my hotel and took a nap at 7:30 a.m. in the morning. I went to pick up my rental car at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday July 16th, I needed it for a kayaking excursion and returned to ASAP the same day. I stood in line for an 1-hour and 20-min as many others 100ths people did. There were only 3-4 staff! The line was so long it was ridiculous. I just couldn't understand how HERTZ thrifty/dollar could be so nonchalant about short staffing. Once I got to the car lot there was another line waiting for the window were five six men were doing nothing before you could even get a car. It was completely hectic and ridiculous! I DEFINITELY DON'T RECOMMEND RENTING A CAR FROM ANY HERTZ OWED LOCATION. It took 2 hours to leave this facility even through the garage experience was ridiculous. The car I did receive was dirty and unkept It was just a bad experience. There was one lane to get out at the garage in a very long line. The other lanes were closed. Florida continues to be the worst airport to navigate through and the people are not too nice. 45 minutes into standing they announced if you rented a car within the last 24 hours they have no available cars for you. People were mad and I would have been too!!! RIDICULOUS I'm sure I speak for the majority. I don't recommend renting for them if by all chance you don't have too. DEFINITELY pick a better solution because this is one that isn't it. Hertz gets your 'SIO' hire staff, provides more professional services to your customers.. REMEMBER YOUR customers are the reason you're in business.
DO NOT rent from here unless you want to spend the first 2 hours of your vacations in line. Unfortunately I prepaid for the rental otherwise I would have gone to another agency … no others were lined up unreasonably. I could have saved money renting from an agency that required a shuttle … but opted to spend more for the speed and convenience of in terminal as my daughter and I had only a few days in Orlando. The line was ridiculous. The most frustrating was that they had spots for 15 agents … but the qty of agents ranged at any time from 6 to 3. Managers came from the back a few . times … but had no urgency to jump in and help alleviate the line. In fact one spent 1/2 hour speaking to an agent keeping them from helping customers. There was a winding line up system …. The line up went well beyond that. The pictures do not do it justice. Frustrating way to start a vacation. It was thrifty and dollar together so avoid both.
1. They have one lineup for Hertz, Dollar & Thrifty. Zero regard for passengers coming in after their travels 2. The counter staff are decent but definitely push upgrades and sales 3. I upgraded to a premium vehicle and it was NOT worth it. The vehicle had its battery die multiple times and the road side assistance support was brutal. They were rude and not sympathic towards the client. 4. I have attached pictures of the Infiniti QX80 that I paid $350 a day for 5. The vehicle was not very clean for a premium vehicle. Quick carwash and off to the client This place is ridiculous!
Arrived to the airport around 11pm to find this line for Thrifty and Dollar car rental. The wait to get our car was almost 2 hours. All these people and only 2 agents to help. I have never experience such a ridiculous wait for a rental car in ANY other airport car rental. I suggest you pay $10 more a day by choosing another company. Your time is worth more than what this rental place offers.
Legitimately the worst experience for a rental car Ive ever experience, the best part bonding with the people in line with how horrible the wait & service is. Employees are laughing and on their phones, one legitimately just up and left leaving a single person behind the counter for a line of 50+ people, while this is the ONLY RENTAL with ANY LINE. Average time of wait has to be 3-4 hours and this is at 1 am, when you think it'd be half decent, think again, go out of your way to avoid booking with this company. Save you hours on your stay!
