The Shop Breakfast and Lunch
What people are saying
The saying goes “good food takes time to make”. The shop does get busy at their peak hours and everything is made to order. It’s worth the wait. I think I had the best chicken sandwich in town. Definitely the taste of the house made pickles and the sauce used, sets it different from all the other chicken sandwiches in town. Crunchy bite and tender inside. The house made chips are a good side too. Make sure to follow the socials to see specials for the day. That’s how I was notified/knew I wanted to try their chicken sandwich today. Definitely will be back. Cheers!
Our first time here. Pros- ✅the food was excellent. The portions are large - one portion good enough for 2. We ordered 1. Americana- the toast went well with butter and home made jam❤️ the potatoes were perfectly crispy and buttery. The eggs were cooked perfectly. 2.Eggs Benny- the pork was cooked perfectly and tasted like Indian beef curry❤️ 3. French toast- great toast and excellent spread on top with fruits ✅ lots of parking available ✅ OJ was excellent- fresh squeezed 🛑Cons- - the coffee was not great probably not strong like I generally like to have - the place was a little less ventilated inside - felt stuffy - the tables were shaky and my coffee kept spilling- so be careful when you take the booth -no servers come to check if you need anything- everything is self serve - super expensive 🫰
This place is a hidden gem. The food is a bit pricey but nothing out of the ordinary for a quality breakfast and lunch joint. It is a bit hot in there especially now in the summer months so just know ahead of time. The eggs Benedict was one of the best I’ve ever had. The portions are generous and the food is super flavorful. Staff is busy and helpful.
This place really needs to change their "do not sit yourself" sign to "please walk up to placd your order". While we were standing confused, several people who knew walked up after us, past and into the line. Food is really good and freshly made. If you want a large harty meal, then their burrito is the way. If you're looking for the best bang for your buck (in this economy) then their Americano breakfast platter with upgrade of $1.75 to berry pancake is the way to go!
The wait was half hour to order and another half hour to get your food. I ordered the breakfast burrito I wanted so much to love it, but it just did not hit the spot. It was mostly potatoes. Definitely needed more cheese and more eggs. And more sauce. It was very plain. If you do decide it's worth the wait, don't get the breakfast burrito unless you LOVE potatoes and flour tortillas.
