The Roberta Bondar Park and Tent Pavilion
What people are saying
It's a beautiful place for events! I honestly have always had great experiences when coming to events at the Pavillion. As a regular paying citizen, unfortunately, the experience is not always positive, a couple of times, I have had to walk away from conversations with one of their homophobic and unfriendly to people of colour security guards. During events, they let you smoke around the grass of the Pavillion, however, not during regular days.... difficult to keep up with rules that keep changing. Maybe the security guard needs to be updated? And also trained to interact with the general community?
This is a public market/arena and there is plenty of parking. Excellent for watching the St.Mary River and the US border. There is restroom here which is very clean. We went on a Saturday and there were a few farmers selling their produce. Very nice quite place to walk around and enjoy the scenic views.
Beautiful architecture on the water. Stroll around here after dinner or come to the venues. Water fronts are such a draw.
We didn't actually seek out this park but it was along the boardwalk in Sault Saint Marie, Ontario. The whole walk along the rivers/locks/lakes was very pleasant. We were in our 26' motor home and found plenty of easy parking on the back side of the mall, right next to the scenic boardwalk. After a long stroll, we drove across the international bridge into Michigan where we took a boat cruise through the SSM locks. Very interesting!
Beautiful walk along the water. Canada Day fireworks were spectacular. Great setting for them.
