I use to love Steak & Shake. I still do. The shakes are my favorite. They use to have a seasoning they would put on their fries but I was told they no longer have the seasoning, so the fries are not as good as they use to be. On this visit I wanted a burger and a regular shake. My total was $11, which is a lot more than it use to be. I have included a picture of my burger which was hardly worth the $5.69 (before tax) that it cost. I’m hoping this an isolated incident. As you can see by the picture a lot of the cheese was not on the burger but packaging and the patty was barely there. So I still love the shakes, but recently have been disappointed in the burgers & fries.

Update: I went back they were late to open and slow to get our food out. Probably a last visit for myself. After many trips though the drive through, I have to say they lost a star from me due to the hit or miss of the breakfast burger. I love the fact that they even offer such an item on the menu, however, my issues lies with the quality control. Depending the trip I have had welted lettuce, overcooked eggs, or mayonnaise all in one spot. Hopefully they will improve, but I will say this 50/50 on breakfast. Dinner services seem to hold to a better standard at this location. Previous review: A nice atmosphere exactly like others I’ve been too. Megan was a friendly waitress. I ordered the Cajun Burger extremely tasty. I’d definitely go back!

You can’t beat the price and service. I had the jalapeño burger minus the salsa, I had every intention to eat half of it and take the rest home for lunch the next day. I even cut it in half but I couldn’t stop myself…I ate the whole thing! Best burger and wait staff was super sweet, called me sugar, baby and darling…I overheard an older couple being welcomed by their first name as a regular who hadn’t been there in a while. Just made my soul warm and loved to hear staff so warm and welcoming and friendly. Heck, I think if I was having a bad day I’d leave lifted up. Oh, and the strawberry shake was amazing! Don’t food shame me, yes- I finished that too on my ride home! Cheaper than a fast food chain but more delicious and best service in town! If you’re looking for cheap but good eats, this is your place!
