A clean well organized C-Store & gas station with an exceptionally friendly staff. There's a Subway for a quick meal and the C-Store is well stocked with everything plus more than what is the usual fare. Best place in town for your one stop

I was just in the Shell station in Ely Nevada on Great Basin Boulevard. I witnessed a lady with her small child at the cash register. They had probably 5, 6, maybe 7 items to purchase. The cashier rang up the items, put them in a bag, and then told the lady next time use a basket to put your things in. The lady got upset, left her things, and just walked away. I believe that the cashier was extremely rude to this lady. What does she care if the lady carried the stuff to the counter or put it in a basket? I believe that the cashier needs retraining on customer service.

Easy access from the highway. Plenty of gas pumps. Clean restrooms. Silly souvenirs from bawdy bumper stickers to useful hats or bags. The usual snacks and beverages. The only problem we had was the credit card reader wasn't doing its job. We had to run inside and have the clerk put an amount on the card and only then could we refuel. Apparently this is an ongoing issue. Not a biggie in nice weather or if you don't have 3 kids and a dog in the car with you, but might be a major inconvenience if you were on your way to work or over to the in-laws or something. So anyway, just be prepared to to have to prepay. That's about it. It's a gas station all right!

For the love of God we do not need screens blasting us 24 hours a day! Please get rid of the stupid speakers on the gas pumps
