Great place for bird watching. Weekends can get a bit busy, but there is enough room to walk so you don't really notice. Usually a deer or two around in the morning and evening to see.

Paved multiuse trails for strolling, walking, jogging, running, skating, riding, sury or surying. Also sitting or resting on one of the many benches along the trail. Canoeing and kayaking adjacent to the trail in the river. Drinking fountains inoperable at this time...but public restrooms are operating! Bird sanctuary areas located on the trail along with monarch waystations. Trains also may available for viewing.

It is a well maintained and clean path. Its full of natural beauty and nature that cuts right through the middle of Portage.
