Wonderful out of town German last minute experience. Very different being a partial German decent on my mothers side. Loved it !

I stopped on my way to work a Luke combs concert I was not disappointed. A little on the pricy side but so totally the worth the money the fish literally melted in my mouth. Best fried fish I've had in awhile hands down 🙌🏼🤞🏼

Olde New York is an excellent place for a meal out! They also have a full bar, tempting desserts and appetizers to please every palate! They have the best beef stew I’ve ever had at a restaurant (it’s Ghoulash on the menu). The steaks are great! Bonus for serving mashed potatoes straight up, without garlic. Salads are fresh, with lots of mixed greens. The customer service is excellent, and the atmosphere is great too. It can get a bit loud, definitely not a place to go for a subdued dining experience. If you’re in State College and trying to experience some of the local flavors, it’s a must-try!

Met a small group for lunch here. It was only my second visit and that had been many years ago. I was a huge fan of Schnitzels Tavern when we lived in Bellefonte and was looking forward to some good eats again. Upon arrival, the place was packed which was surprising given it was a weekday. My friend and I were immediately shown to our reserved table where others from our group were seated. Jeremy K., our waiter, quickly arrived and took our drink orders. Looking over the menu, I was torn because there were so many yummy items listed. Even the daily special of skewered shrimp sounded tempting. I decided to go a bit light and ordered The Dipper sandwich. Most of the group seated were going for the big hitters, the schnitzel, but since I'm not a big luncher, I decided it might be too heavy for me. Food arrived promptly considering our table size of eight and the number of other patrons packing the house. My shaved prime rib with melted mozzarella on a soft roll was outstanding. The au jus for dipping was tasty and just the right touch. The only criticism I had, and it's just my personal taste, would be having a nice smear of horseradish or a spicy creamy mayo to go on the sandwich. But it really didn't matter and I enjoyed every bite. My side option was a nice potato salad. House made per Jeremy K. and it was a good choice. Others at our table enjoyed their schnitzel meals. After seeing the size of their plates, I'm glad I stuck to my sandwich. A few got the shrimp special and it looked phenomenal. No complaints heard either. Some at the table ordered dessert - an Irish type cheesecake. Others got it to go. From what I saw (and heard), it was divine. My to go order was the Brat Plate that I was taking back to hubby for his supper. Two sausages, sour kraut, and a large potato pancake. Let me just say it was very much enjoyed by my PIC. Bathroom very clean and well stocked. And service excellent. Jeremy K. was very friendly and attentive. We all left happy.

Perfect place to go with the kiddos. We were from out of town and came last year after my husband did the Ironman. We made sure to come back this year! Service was excellent. Pretzel was delicious, fried pickles were great. Definitely recommend. Rueben sandwich was great!!
