Went for business they have a breakfast lunch and dinner buffet which is pretty good the value is too expensive but it's an all inclusive resort so it's understood. They service and workers are nice they are helpful. No issues just don't look at it as a 5 star but it the price is right and your looking for a safe place resort style for the family I would stay here for sure.4/5

Absolutely loved our short stay at Moody Gardens Hotel. We were in for a dance convention. Unfortunately, Hurricane Beryl cut our stay short. The rooms are spacious and accommodating. The decor is excellent. Beds are comfy and the bathroom and in room vanity were perfect for 2 dancers and 1 mom. Here is the best part. Their staff!! The hurricane blew through. Power out in the main tower. The back up generator powered the bottom floor including the kitchen. The staff powered through. The Cafe staff made absolutely sure to have a wonderful hot breakfast buffet as well as lunch (I'm sure dinner as well but I had checked out and headed home). It was fantastic. The staff also made sure that the children's area for arts and crafts etc was up and running as well as the indoor pool. They did all this with a skeleton crew and with SMILES on their faces. They didn't miss a beat and my girls and I greatly appreciated it. This will be my go-to place to stay in Galveston from now on.

Our stay started off not great— our original flight was cancelled due to the global software outage and the hotel refused to reimburse us for the first night we pre-paid, even as other travel companies made exceptions because of the global issue. When we finally arrived, we found the accommodations in general uncomfortable, dated, musky, and sad— if the stay wasn’t so expensive or if the hotel was more accommodating and cared about our experience at all, I would not be giving such a poor review. We had a room with a king bed and pullout couch for a family of four with two teens— the room was TINY (like, bumping into and stumbling around furniture kind of small) and the pullout couch was so uncomfortable the kids didn’t really sleep the entire time. When I asked the hotel if we could switch to a room with two beds, I was told that the couch was comfortable because they just replaced the mattresses and that the cheapest upgrade would cost an additional $200/ night. Additionally, the room had a strange, chemically sweet stench, which we discovered came from the cheap, pungent collection of shampoos and soaps in the bathroom. Kids had fun with some of the facilities (pool, ping pong), but that didn’t come close to making up for the head-scratching cost of staying in such dismal accommodations at the mercy of management and staff who care so little about guest experience.

Upon my seven year old son’s request I am writing this 5 star review! We stayed here for two nights in the presidential suite and my children and their cousins loved it. It was amazing. They had the best time of their life and they never felt that way before. My son really liked the waterpark with the lazy river and the wave pool. The waves weren’t too high which was nice. There were sand, chairs, and umbrellas for the parents to sit under while they watched their children play. The presidential suite had a bidet which the kids thought was a second toilet. The chandelier over the jacuzzi tub was gorgeous. We ate at the buffet downstairs for dinner which had a good assortment for the kids. The pool area was great and my kids especially liked the virgin strawberry daiquiris. The hot tub was nice and hot and the kids had a ton of fun playing in it! Thanks Moody Gardens! We will definitely be back soon! Best hotel ever!

I recently stayed at Moody Gardens Hotel, and it was a terrible experience. From the moment I walked into the room, I was disgusted. The sheets were dirty and stained, and it was clear they hadn't been changed. The room itself had an awful stench that made it hard to breathe comfortably. The bathroom was equally disgusting, with grime and dirt visible on the surfaces. The shower head was a nightmare, spraying water with the force of a pressure washer, making it impossible to take a relaxing shower. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Save your money and stay somewhere that values cleanliness and comfort.
