Halfway through despicable me 4, purple lines appeared all throughout the screen. After about 10-15 minutes of the movie running like this, they cut it off to a black screen and turned the lights on. No one came out and communicated anything to everyone sitting in the theater about what was going on or if they were working on it. We ended up leaving and didn’t get a refund or explanation as to what happened.
A sign posted on the door states that the theatre will be hot due to large volumes and how it’s “out of their control”. We definitely felt warm but luckily picked a movie with a shorter runtime. Besides the fact that the sign contradicts itself, they appear to be the only movie theatre with this problem as many others accommodate large crowds without a heating issue. Even worse, you only learn about their AC issue once you’re already at the doo
I enjoyed watching the new Bad Boys movie Will Smith seems to get finer with age. Back to business seats are comfortable, food was predictable. This my second visit here and it definitely beats those Nashville spots. Except Green Hills theater; now go watch a movie.
This place is great. It's close , nice, the seats are great, staff is nice as can be. Only thing I don't like is I don't think they pop their own popcorn. Not for sure but I don't think so. Other than than I wish they had the collectable popcorn buckets like all the other chains . Either way, this is my go to.
i recently visited the malco smyrna cinema and had a mixed experience. on the positive side, the theatre was exceptionally clean, with spotless floors and well-maintained restrooms. the staff were friendly and efficient, making the entry process smooth and hassle-free. however, i was quite disappointed with the concessions. i ordered chicken tenders, and for $11, i only received two small pieces. the portion size was underwhelming and didn't seem to justify the high price. while i understand that theatre food can be expensive, the value for money here was particularly poor. overall, while the cleanliness and service were commendable, the overpriced and meager concessions offerings left much to be desired. i hope malco smyrna cinema reconsiders their pricing or portion sizes in the future.
