This hotel was perfect!! We come to Long Beach often and have stayed at many hotels in the area but this one was by far our favorite. The room was updated, clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was perfect too, quick drive to everything including the airport but no airport noise. Also, no additional fee for parking. It is a wonderful hotel and we definitely recommend staying here.
I arrived to attend an introductory class on trading and investing. I couldn't eat lunch or get Starbucks because I only had cash. Then I bought a bag of chips and a small OJ for a whooping $9! The place was beautiful, though, and clean. Also, the workers were nice, except, on the phone, I was told the building was light and dark blue. It was gray with dark blue accents. Patrons were friendly. A final note is that although it's next to an airfield, it wasn't disruptive at all.
Just want to say I was so pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel, the ambience, and above all the service. Chelsea Nelson was so helpful, went above and beyond, and tremendously hospitable. Will definitely return here again. Thanks, Marriott.
I was in the Long Beach area for a week on business. My first room had an awesome view of the airport and pool but there was a smell in the room that just wouldn't go away. To me it was a very unpleasant air freshener or perfume smell. I requested a room change but it too had the same nauseating smell. After three days I had enough. I went to the courtyard right down the road and it was fine. It's also in the area with lots of restaurants.The rooms are much smaller but no unpleasant oder. Also, at the Marriott, there is only one restaurant nearby and that's the hotel restaurant. Do not bring cash... This hotel only takes cards. I would not recommend this place mainly because of the smell.
Stayed here for work - pleased with the accommodations. Though, I did check in late and left early. My room was clean, spacious, with soft towels. Beds were comfortable with lots of pillows.
