This is one of the more affordable places to stay in the area…it’s three blocks from Newport Beach and it’s an easy walk to plenty of bars and restaurants. They do have a parking lot large enough to accommodate the guests. The rooms are pretty clean and well furnished. We did find some ants though. There is a good sized balcony with a table umbrella. However the main road is pretty noisy as night as is the bar a few doors down. Don’t stay here if you are a light sleeper or if you can’t function with earplugs in at night. The staff/owners are not especially friendly or helpful. At check-in we stood there unacknowledged for 60-90 seconds while they had a conversation about something on their computer. We were an hour early for check in and they refused to waive the early check in fee…obviously that’s their policy…but really great service. It’s a 3.5 star for me…the location and price are unbeatable.

The trip started off with no confirmation of my reservation. I called and got an automated message and no one returned my call so I had to call in 2 more times to confirm that I did have a reservation. The hotel is across the street from the fire department & next to a liquor store. You are better off staying at one of the hotels right by the pier/beach for the same price. I was charged an early check in fee, while my co-worker who stayed at Dorymann's Inn got to check in 30 minutes before me for no extra charge. I also had ants in my bathroom. No thanks

Dropped in last minute. Nice little place. Reasonable rates. $15 parking seems a little greedy to charge someone that's already paying for a room but whatever. Room was nice. Spacious and clean. Only real complaint is that the jacuzzi bathtub had some issue that made it rumble all night long. Made it hard to sleep. And staff was unresponsive to the bell at the desk, the text sent to their 24 hour line, and the email sent.

Do not stay here. We booked two nights for over $200 per night and the first night the room adjoining us was party Central. And they finally went out to the bars and when they came home, there was an ongoing fight for several hours. We got no sleep explained our situation, and the manager assured us they would give us some credit. It’s been over 10 days now and they do not respond to emails or answer their phone. The walls of the units are paper thin and you can hear your neighbors, especially when they’re screaming and dropping the F bomb for hours . Customer Service poor , the location is OK but I would stay at a better quality hotel that has better customer service

This place has a lot of pros and a lot of cons. It's overly priced for what you are getting, located between two busy roads, right next to the fire station, and has no elevator. However it has a lot of charm. The rooms are nicely coastal themed. Our room was clean-ish. There was no visible dirt and grime but we did have ants crawling up through the bathtub drain which just kinda gave me an ick feeling. The rooms are very small and the bathrooms even smaller. Theres only one sink located inside the bathroom. We got room number 3. Right outside of it was a nice sitting area with lots of flowers and fake grass. It's ~technically~ in a great location. Walking distance from the beach, shops, grocery store, and tons of restaurants. You had to request to have housekeeping come in but they did a great job and cleaned our room nicely. Parking can be tricky as the lot is very small and made for smaller cars. It's not a bad place to stay, but it's also not the best place to stay. Pretty basic overall. My biggest complaint would be the bath towels. They're small, like most hotel bath towels are, but they are extremely extremely rough. A little fabric softener would go a long way towards guest comfort.
