Liliʻuokalani Gardens
What people are saying
The gardens are free to enter and enjoy. There's free street parking all around them. This is as much a city park as it is a Japanese garden area. There are picnic tables and benches on both sides and many birds and trees. The water in the Japanese garden could be cleaner but it doesn't distract too much. Be careful on the concrete bridges as they do hold water when it rains and they don't drain.
What a beautiful garden and it’s free. Decent parking spots, I have seen lot of people doing their morning walk routine. The big islands peak is clearly visible from here on a sunny day. The green trees, blue sky and the water makes you feel very fresh. Highly recommend this place for pictures.
Wonderful serene and picturesque pare withJapanese style landscape and ponds. In the heart of downtown and 5 minutes from the airport but you are transported to another time and space in this oasis.
Beautiful garden right next to water with picturesque trees and ocean views, little bridge like fairy tales, ducks, and walk to coconut island. There is a walking path around with lookouts near the ocean front. Lush green grass and huge ancient trees. Great, relaxing experience. With ample parking, near Hilo airport, and right next to some good hotels, this place is not to be missed when visiting big island.
Beautiful Japanese style garden in Hilo. Very beautifully maintained with rock sculptures, stone bridges, shallow water and historical facts regarding Japan's relationship with the area. A must see!
