Ihatov Bread and Coffee
What people are saying
Everything was delicious. The ham and cheese croissant was exactly what I was craving this morning. The coffee was not overly bitter and we got some chocolate babka to take home. The outdoor patio seating was cozy and clean. Definitely will come back! Also the nicest Cafe bathroom I've ever seen. 😂
Ihatov (ee-hah-tov) is a decent place to drop by and have your coffee, pastries and breads. We walked in at about 11am on a Thursday morning while passing through Albuquerque. It seemed that most of the pastries were already sold out and they were very busy baking more. Still, we bought the last of the what was left, and they were good: almond croissant, pain-au-chocolat, ham & cheese croissant, cheddar & green chile croissant, and a tomato & basil quiche. We also had an almond milk latte and a matcha latte. I threw away the quiche's burned crust. Despite this, it was good, the tomato made it delicately sweet. The cheddar & green chile croissant was a winner. My wife found the almond croissant a bit dry but still good. The drinks were well-made. You can plop down with your treats and pick a read from the book cases. There's a decent amount of indoor seating, perhaps a bit squished, but copious amounts of seating on the outdoor patio. Prices were reasonable, however the service was neutral. Not mean, but not terribly friendly either. This place was somewhere between "just ok" and "good". I might drop by again and order something else to improve my opinion. As for yourself, I would say, feel free to pop in and see if it's for you.
Amazing quality and friendly service!! Didn't even get pictures of the food because it was devoured too quickly. Limited seating inside, but during the warmer months they have a lovely patio to enjoy the weather. Very traditional and limited coffee options, but after tasting the croissants and butter biscuits, the baked goods are all you need to buy here.
Wow!!! Quality bread & pastries!!! Good coffee too! Croissantes tastier than those we've had in Paris & Rome. My 10 yo wanted more to take with. Friendly staff, I got bread to take back to Illinois. This place is a must-visit ! Very nice patio space! Too bad we couldn't try their sandwiches because they start at 11...next time!!!
True French bakery (et je dais de quoi je parle) with some local twists (green chile in scones for example) . A little too cooked for my taste though. I do appreciate that they use real dishes and cup if you eat there. Day old leftovers at half off like back home!
