Hyatt Place Albuquerque Airport
What people are saying
I was very impressed with the staff here. I had booked my room with Expedia, which in my experience is always a task. Some problems arose and they took care of me and I felt they deserved an amazing review. Meghan and Monique were adaptable and professional. I had made an error on my reservation and the whole staff at the Hyatt took care of me when they did not have to. The hotel was clean and definitely what you are looking for in a hotel stay.
I stayed here for four (4) nights, and housekeeping did not visit once. I saw them in the hallways talking, but they never came to my room. Regarding the rooms, they were fine. There were no available plugs between the beds (two doubles), which was an inconvenience. We were in a large group and they did let us use the conference room so that we were not taking over the lobby. Akhil was great as he was very nice and helpful.
I recently stayed at the Hyatt Place Albuquerque Airport to help a relative who had surgery at the hospital. Check-in to my room was smooth and the young man who was checking us in was kind and helpful when I could not understand the scanning required for parking (which by the way, I have never seen at any other hotel). The hotel entrance is clean and looks modern. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was good and had plenty of options and had a kind and attentive staff. This hotel could use an upgrade. However, the staff makes up for this shortcoming. In particular, I would like to acknowledge Jacob for being so empathetic and kind during my long stay. After returning from the hospital every evening Jacob was there smiling and welcoming me back to the hotel. He always asked if there was anything he could do to make my stay as comfortable as possible while in Albuquerque. Jacob went above and beyond his normal duties to ensure that the Hyatt has returning guests. I seen him working alongside an employee that was rude and does not belong in the hospitality business. I will not mention her name for I believe in Karma. I hope management recognizes that without employees like Jacob they would lose guests. And if by any chance Jacob reads this review, thank you again. Gloria
They go in your room regardless of the do not disturb sign. They moved all of my stuff into the closet while I was at work for some reason. Parking is $10/night ran through a 3rd party website. There are unlit signs with QR codes in the parking lot so I guess it's my bad for assuming I could park behind the building I was already paying to stay at. A heads up at check-in would have been nice as I got to the hotel around 2am and work sunup to sundown. There are no microwaves in the rooms. They do not have guest laundry. Showers are hot and the beds aren't bad. Breakfast is pretty standard, the potatoes are really good but the eggs are incredibly rubbery. Lots of other options in the area for similar pricing. Holiday Inn has a good bar and restaurant. Home2 is all around a better choice if you're staying more than a few days.
Stayed 1 night overnight before our flight. The room layout seemed a bit weird with beds on one side couch on another but it was comfortable. Showers were hot and the included toiletries were located in bulk in the shower which I prefer as less tiny plastic bottle waste. The toiletries felt pretty good and not cheap as well! I also liked seeing complimentary women's products in the main bathroom it felt very progressive. The elevator did jolt a little when starting up which was a little scary, and the fact that you had to pay extra for parking was honestly surprising and the reason why I would rate it only 4 stars.
