Hy-Vee Grocery Store
What people are saying
I could shred raw chicken with a fork. Hyvee is hiding spaghetti meat in the cowgirl grillers. Had to look up the the f was wrong with the meat when I found out about spaghetti meat. Yum!! Thanks for ruining dinner!
I had a very bad experience with this Hy-Vee today. I go in to buy the BOGO Chinese, deal and the manager woman of that department was extremely short and rude with me. I asked several questions about the overall price and the lack of selection available, and she became very rude with me, raising her voice and repeating the same answer over and over instead of elaborating on the issue at hand. I then attempted to checkout my items, as apparently there were several items available for buy one get one off, the register did not recognize most of these items as applicable. I was forced to go back to the customer service counter to deal with this. The woman at the counter was equally as rude as the Chinese department. Acting like I was lying when I pointed out each item that didn't ring up correctly. Even went so far as to refuse to honor one of the items because it wasn't in their short 1-page ad. Even though it was advertised on a sticker AT the product section that the item was on sale. The customer experience here for me has ALWAYS been less than par, you would be doing yourself a favor and saving A LOT of headaches by avoiding this business altogether.
HyVee has a nice, clean, and friendly environment. However, their prices, some sale prices even, are as high or higher than other grocers in the area and prove not to be a sale at all. I still occasionally, as needed, run in for something I may have forgotten elsewhere.
HyChi charges an extra dollar for lo mein, the lo mein itself was overcooked and completely bland. Also chose the spicy orange chicken, for it to have no spice at all. Please season your food! -A tired white girl who's tired of Midwest bland food.
It's fine. Products are pretty expensive compared to other local options like Cash Saver. The people are all friendly, however I'd rather see more cashiers working and earning a living than having to play the role of cashier myself. I don't really like paying more for products then having to do the work myself too.
