This beautiful station was built by the Delaware and Bound Brook Railroad in 1876. Not far from here was the site of the Frog War between the D&BB railroad and the Mercer and Somerset Railroad. Interestingly, when this station was built there were 2 rail lines here. One to the north of the station that’s still present today and another to the south, the Mercer and Somerset, which no longer exists.

I have been coming here for years, and it is a great place to sit down and relax while seeing freight trains pass by.

The place is rented out for private parties. That's what we were there for. The trains continue to go by all day which is fun to watch. The room is like an empty train depot & must be decorated and the party be catered. Not very large.
