After a very delayed flight getting a place to sleep was top priority. Came into the lobby, yes it was late but the doors opened and NO ONE present. Waited 10 mins left back to car, called and someone rudely replied they had plenty of room. Re-entered the building and the same front desk attendee rudely booked our room. Speaking under her breath, no communication, acting as though we were an inconvenience. Would not have stayed if we weren't so tired and it so late. The room was great no issues clean and comfy.
Stopped here on our way back from Florida. Didn't notice until we laid down for the night but our room had bed bugs. Were given the option to move all our stuff and sleeping infant to adjacent rooms-likely still have bed bugs. We opted to not sleep in the bed and just leave first thing in the morning. We told the front desk who mentioned they've had other containers. They refunded our money but have not had any response back from anyone regarding a expenses to now launder all of our items and detail our car to prevent bringing them back with me.
Reserved a suite. Uncomfortable furniture. Diamond member with a profile that says ground floor away from elevator. I was given 4th floor next to noisy elevator. Breakfast staff was great with well prepared food.
Imagine having the most disgusting, vial, rude person you know greeting your guests at your front door. You probably wouldn't make a good impression on anyone visiting your house, would you? The plump, ignorant pig they have checking you in isn't fit for customer service. In fact, she's not fit for much of anything other than being rude. There was a delay with our room being ready 45 mins after check-in. Instead of being civil and expressing empathy for the fact we had somewhere to be she told us everyone here has somewhere to be. Needless to say, we missed our reservations as we were told to sit on the couch like children.
We stayed at this location for business this week. We had booked 2 rooms for 1 night. Our work in the area carried over to the next day so I had to book 1 room for 1 extra night. We checked into the room about 515PM, dropped our bags washed our hands and went to get dinner. While at dinner my business partner received a call that his wife was headed to the ER and needed to head home immediately. We went back to the hotel to ask about canceling the room about 645. (1.5 hours) The person at the desk said she couldn't approve that with a refund but she would call her boss. The situation was explained and essentially were we told sorry about your luck, still would be charged for the stay. We would have been glad to pay a cleaning fee for cleaning the bathroom sink and replacing 1 hand towel. We literally never even sat on the bed or even in the chair in the room. A little background I had been an IHG rewards partner for around 15 years and my business partner had been a member for over 20 years. We felt the request was reasonable for the situation and the cold, non-caring, dismissing comments of the manager/GM was pretty insulting to us while my business partners wife was laying in an ER. Needless to say, any future business travel for our team/business will go to any other hotel option no matter the extra cost. Really disappointed to be treated this way by Holiday Inn/IHG.
