Do not go to this hertz rental or any other for that matter. I had the worst customer service experience when I arrived at 8am to retrieve my rental. The representative did not show up to work for another 45 minutes. And this is after I called the phone number posted and the person kept saying that the representative will arrive in 5 minutes and is stuck in traffic. I called 3 separate times with them lying to me. The representative did not show up for 45 minutes. Then she drove up with the car I would be renting. It was not cleaned out and it had only 25 miles left prior to me needing a charge. The car should have been cleaned and fully charged. I did not request an electric vehicle and when I asked for a gas vehicle because I do not have time to stop and charge it because I had a meeting to attend in Boston. She claimed there were NO other cars for me to rent. She stated if I wanted to switch the vehicle I could drive to the New Brunswick site to see if they had any other cars. I was told the charge would take 15-20 minutes and when I arrived at a super charge station I was there charging it for 35 minutes. I had to stop several times to charge the car (which took over 25 minutes each time) on my way up to Boston missing my meeting. I was told I would be compensated for the worker not showing up on time for work and coming 45 minutes late, I still have not been compensated for this experience and I have been in touch with Hertz serval times already.
If I could do zero stars, I would. I am working a contract job temporarily, and am being relocated. I requested to drop off my rental car one week early, at a location that is only 30 miles different from where I picked it up, and they are trying to charge me over $3000 to switch locations and drop it off early. The man on the phone kept pushing me despite me telling him “no”, to allow him to continue with the process to charge my card. They were not understanding of the situation at all, and were rather aggressive about it, especially when I wanted to inquire as to why the fee was so expensive. Be aware! Worst customer service!
Hi I was charged for the rental insurance 117 $ even though I declined to take the rental insurance. I called representative 2 times and the office location . No/poor response. looters Could you please look into it?
Worst car rental company ever. Keep distance. Hertz takes your money online for reservation and as soon as you are on location, they tell you you cannot rent as soon as you are picking your car because the credit cars you paid with is not accepted.
Reserved on web. Details omitted. Unlike with other sites, additional fees seemed hidden. I had to search out the fee for supplemental insurance. There was no mention of an additional driver fee until I got to the counter. I reserved a GPS unit, which wasn't there, even though I reserved it the night before. Apparently, there's a 24 notice required, which the site neglected to mention. Overall, you have other options, and I recommend exercising them.
