Horrible experience! DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ!!!! If they make a mistake, you will never get that money back unless you call your bank to dispute charges and get a new card. They have charged me for over a week more than I had it. Its been 3 weeks and I still have new charges coming out. Corporate office is no help- their emails offer no assistance or solutions. Local office owned the mistake after I showed a video of me putting my receipt and keys in the drop box. They never checked the truck back in before renting it back out, and now I continue to suffer multiple charges. Imagine waking up once a week for 3 weeks in a row to have new charges of $665, $582 and $97 for a vehicle you had for not even 3 hours. Bank has disputed charges but now I have to get a new card because corporate office is blatantly doing nothing. Their first email response was asking me to show proof of boarding pass....which has nothing to do with renting a vehicle. It was a one way from airport to airport, got in my POV and drove home. Have proof of that. And yet, corporate won't act on this at all. I am also filing a complaint with BBB. Hopefully this doesn't happen to you. You roll a big dice giving them your card information. If they make a mistake, you will go through hell to get it resolved.
I seen previous reviews and was so skeptical in renting from Hertz, but I am the type of person that need to see myself. We needed a vehicle from 12/30/22-1/02/23. I was speaking/working with karie. She’s the supervisor there, and she gave me a great experience. She educated me on how their service works, provided all details rather my husband and I was using a debit or credit card (we ended up using a credit card). She just all around was great. Karie kept a positive attitude the whole time, very patient with me since this was my first time, plus pervious reviews against them, and her just being a great all around person for this company. We got the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. It was very nice, spacious, very clean, the vehicle did have a full tank. I had no issues with the vehicle, no damages, my family and I was very safe. We had the vehicle back a hour or two before our scheduled drop off. Everything was back to how we got it, clean, full tank, no damages etc. The customer service agent there at drop off was Johnathan, he made the drop off great and smooth. My husband let him know where we put the vehicle at, gave Johnathan the keys, we got our receipt and that was it. He was very positive, had a positive attitude! Because of them we will be renting from Hertz again. Again I’ve seen the reviews against them, not sure if they were all legitimate complaints. My personal experience was great and they definitely deserve these 5 stars!
Small airport, one associate covers 3 companies- Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty so the wait was long and slow. The return was much quicker. Car was clean and in good condition.
Stay away from this location, the people in the counter are extremely rude and unprofessional. Online customer service sent me to this location to exchange my rental because it had 1% oil life and I was driving to Florida. However this location said they are Hertz franchise and will not honor the corporate exchanges. Great job Hertz/ Thrifty for not taking care of the customers and giving them cars that have only 5% oil life left on them.
I've dealt with Hertz for years at various locations around the US and Europe, and I appreciate their service. The Fayetteville Airport location is okay, but very difficult to contact by phone during business hours. That makes it very frustrating when my travel plans change, which happens occasionally. At least have the answering service activated.
