Gulf State Park
What people are saying
Gorgeous state park! The beach is amazing, with miles of sugar-sand dunes. After playing in the water for a couple of hours, I cleaned off with an outdoor shower, then walked to the interpretive center and across the bridge toward the lake and campground. I saw some great views and the birds were singing! On the downside, the beach pavilion is closed for construction, so we had to use Portable Potties. I wanted to visit the Nature Center by the lake, but the road to the center went to the campground. I didn’t have time to figure out how to get through the gate without a camping pass, so I just left the park. Better signage would have been great.
This has become our top place to RV! The campground is very well maintained. It's an easy bike ride to the beach, or quick car ride. The exhibits were great, the staff friendly. The pool was very clean. It is also close to several other amenities in driving distance. We can't wait to go back!
I enjoyed my stay here. Did not have much luck with the weather but this is a great park with lots to see, do and a family friendly destination. Nice beach front area and offers a range of walking paths.
The sites are large, level, and clean. The area is central to everything. Parking pass is included to many of the beaches. The trails are glorious. The pool is huge! Tennis court, fishing, hiking. The park has 11 washroom/shower facilities that are large and clean. The wifi is strong, and there are little bunnies bouncing around for the children.
This was a magnificent visit. It had beautiful views, gorgeous walks. Very quiet and serene. I could’ve stayed here for days. Best of all there was no cost. A true testament to the best thing in life being free.
