It was a beautiful day in May 2024. There were 2 groups of Roosevelt Elk as we as birds and ducks. You drive on a short paved road with plenty of room to pull over and stop to look at the Elk. There are some viewing platforms and non flush restrooms.
Great place to watch the elk. Nice and chill. You can sit in your car or on a bench.
Watching the elk herd meander around the area was inspiring. As they came closer to the fence line it was obvious that many were pregnant so will definitely be heading back to visit after calving to see all the calves. If you've never seen an Elk up close, this is the place you'll want to experience.
Bathrooms available, maybe not the best maintained. We were there 2 times over 3 days and there was no toilet paper. But there are very often elk to see, lots of seating and it's very clean. Honestly, the best bet if you wanna see elks. There were several young elks that were romping around.
Saw a herd of elk there in the evening! Great place right off the side of the road
