Days Inn by Wyndham Sioux City
What people are saying
We simply needed a place to sleep and for that this hit every nail. Tiny kitchenette was perfect for our needs (microwave and coffee maker and fridge/freezer). Two couches, one was pullout double bed. There were 6 of us so the size was great. A lot of space compared to standard rooms and excellent price. We paid $114. Not a great continental breakfast but okay. The boiled eggs ran out quickly, and the white bread. Well stocked otherwise. Clean rooms. We loved that the vanity was not in the bathroom. We didn't have time to use the pool but it was just okay--nothing special and quite small, but nice to have nonetheless. The upstairs vending machine enjoyed eating our change but the front desk refunded! Decent overall. No complaints. I wouldn't fancy staying for a week but one night was just fine.
Two weeks on the road and this Days Inn was such a relief from other places we had stayed. Clean, well kept, comfortable beds, nice room, great shower, and quiet all night. The breakfast was very good with biscuits & gravy, waffles, eggs, cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. The tables were cleaned off as people left so everyone got a clean table (so nice). It was, strangely enough, the lowest price we paid for a night. Nice surprise to get a reasonable room that was so comfortable, clean, quiet and well kept. Highly recommend.
The lobby/hallway/room stunk. The sheets felt dirty and the floor hadn’t been swept. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The sheets smelled like a dog had been laying on them for 2 weeks. The sheets were sticky and had stains. Train went by at midnight. Breakfast wasn’t good at all. The man on the phone prided himself that the place had just been painted….it needs more than paint. I would suggest you go somewhere else.
Rooms accommodated all our travel needs, including: microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, chairs. Newer bed linens are needed to replace those with holes or stains; but at the under $100 price, you can't expect more. Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating when we asked for more shampoo, conditioner, and toothpaste. Complimentary breakfast was okay: muffins, toast, waffle maker, boiled eggs, yogurt, biscuits & gravy, fruit. Biscuits & gravy was very good. Avoid the "juice" though. Note: there was a Taco Bell right next door.
It was very clean, very accommodating for a family of 5. Located near restaurants and stores. Towels were fresh and soft, extremely clean rooms. Breakfast food had good choices compared to other comparable hotels. Good value for price!
