Had always wanted to try Mateo Kitchen since it is the only Filipino restaurant around and was finally able to make it out there. We started with the tteokbkki and we couldn’t finish with how many there were! It was something new to try and I’m so glad I did, I will definitely be getting it again. I got the pancit malabon and it was juuuuust right. The noodles were thinner than what I thought, but with how many toppings there were I’m glad they were thin otherwise it would’ve been too much. Friend got the beef stew…that didn’t look like traditional stew?¿?¿ but she said it was phenomenal nonetheless. She also had the milk free honeydew boba tea that I’m jealous I didn’t get. I just love those lil boba pearls! I love that Siouxland has this restaurant to showcase the diversity we have. Can’t recommend it enough!

Ordered online for delivery! AH-MAZING!! Food was tender and delicious and hot. Arrived 30 minutes earlier than stated. Well worth the oeder and can't wait to visit the restaurant in person!

Terrible food tinola taste boiled chicken no taste of tinola at all and too many potato's should put chayote not potatoes. Wasting money in this place. No more ordering in this place, it sucks!! Noodles as well too much brocoli and no taste as well what kind of filipino food are these? Weird taste. Wasting time and money to buy in this place! No recommended! All food are expensive, food taste gross.

Use to be good, they change a few things like the Halo Halo, pay a lot for mostly milk, they change the cup and design, and prices went up. Use to love the food. I hate to leave this review, but have to let people know what change. Don't know if we will ever come back.

I did not expect to find this gem while driving through Iowa. Delicious, high quality, authentic food. Warm and friendly family running it. I will be stopping here on all future IA trips
