CVS
What people are saying
THE WORST PHARMACY ON EARTH. Regarding the CVS Pharmacy at 1105 Myrtle Ave, Eureka, CA: I am filing a complaint with CVS, Medicare, and the California State Board of Pharmacy for several reasons. During this last year of 2022, the CVS Pharmacy on Myrtle Ave. has been closed during the “Hours Open” listed on their webpage and on the phone. The store is open, but the pharmacy is closed. Management and staff have used excuses like, “Our only pharmacist has Covid” or “. . . the flu,” or “We have no full-time pharmacist.” Many disabled people live in the neighborhood and need prescriptions filled. Some are very sick and cannot easily get to a pharmacy. People who walk to the pharmacy may check by calling their answering machine first to see if the pharmacy is open, and the recorded voice says it is open. But when they get there, they find it is not. They are redirected to the pharmacy a mile away and across the freeway. For walkers and people in wheelchairs, this is a great inconvenience. Though I have complained 4 times, the management has yet to change their website to say the pharmacy is closed. The CVS Myrtle Pharmacy in Eureka phone message tells you that your prescription is ready to be picked up. They recently corrected this particular issue, after years of misrepresentation. In addition, the look of the front of the store has always been unsightly, a health hazard, and revolting. I would think that a power wash could clean it up nicely if they’d cart off the mangled, broken newspaper machines to the dump. Checking on 12/16/2022. Nothing has changed. This CVS store/pharmacy is absolutely the worst business I've ever seen and I'm 74. The pharmacy still says it's open online. Text messages say you can pick up your pharmaceutical now. Yet the pharmacy was closed on 12/15 Thurs. and today, 12/16 Friday. CVS Corporate must be asleep at the wheel. Someone should shut this place down permanently. It appears there is no profit made at this store, as there are very few customers. I keep trying to change my pharmacy, but this CVS Pharmacy is never open so I can't change it. Geesh
Store is very clean! Associates are always very helpful! Overall all shopping experience is great!
Called the pharmacy during normal hours, was put on hold for over 30 minutes. Eventually I gave up and called the front desk, they picked up immediately and when I asked if the pharmacy was open they said no, the person was at the Harris location... Where the pharmacy is supposed to be closed today. I would just call that location but because the pharmacy is supposed to be closed, the phone wont let me transfer to the pharmacy. I don't recommend this CVS, the Arcata one is much better.
I am thankful that I had to call an employee to take the security pin off the $8 Dentetemp tooth filler. Thank you CVS for keeping Black Market fentanyl laced Tooth repair kits off the market. Your commitment to customer convenience and safety is unimpeachable.
Shelves were not stocked and ALL cashiers lanes closed. The district and general managers were trying to " encourage" more self check-out by forcing this option. When I suggested to the DM that a discount might work better than forcing me to be my own cashier, he replied my "wellness card" was my discount, and " there you go" he replied. I told him with customer service skills like this I would not be returning. He shrugged his shoulders and turned away. I have sold my stocks in CVS and suggest you do the same.i will be emailing the CEO.
