CNM Main Campus Student Services Center (SSC)
What people are saying
I spent two days here with students, faculty deans, and others supporting geotechnologies on campus. The facilities are great. The students are wonderful, and the instructors are dedicated and visionary.
Been coming to CNM off and on since I graduated Highschool 12 years ago, having not completed a full semester since Fall 2017, I am about to complete 18 credit hours based solely in the Exercise Science Program next week, can't wait to receive my two year degree then finally transfer to UNM as intended!
*** 0 STARS*** DO NOT ATTEND CNM! if you are planning to return to school. As a parent with two jobs returning to school at CNM main campus was the worst decision I have ever made. CNM does not care!! The advisors are very under educated in each of their roles. I reached out for their advice before making any move with my educational plan to avoid losing any type of financial aid, and their advice was very misinformed and my aid lost. Also Donna Trujillo and Nancy in financial aid department cared even less when I inquired about any options to continue my education. Nancy handed me off to another co-worker so she can socialize about her night and own education and Donna refused to get her supervisor and stated to drop out, after informing class disenrollment she walked away and left me there waiting for her not to return. The financial aid staff was more than happy to assist disenrollment after I expressed my deepest concern how I wanted to stay enrolled. Nobody cared to help or to take my situation into consideration. THIS SCHOOL ONLY CARES ABOUT MONEY! Seems as though returning to school is not an option for the low or middle class with financial burdens.
Be sure to read the guidelines before going in and you will not have any issues every department hapartments has wonderful people there to answer your questions or help you with your needs.. I myself am actually disabled and go to school for for film on a scholarship for disabled individuals and I have had amazing support the entire way through Not only that but the Dean the entire staff is really great and now the campus has improved to the Overall fuel of the campus it's a nice place to be to hang out and and they have made plenty of spaces where students can actually be even when between classes or doing homework doing homework etc. There are a number of labs where you can use the latest technology and the latest software often So you really have many options and options and I would recommend CNM I graduated with 2 of my degrees and I am working on one more and I have been to UNM but CNN has much more intimate classes and not only that tleave that that I find the quality he is better as well Instead of quantity being focused on quality is focused on so you will have some amazing professors. Who definitely do not get paid enough for what they're doing in fact the entire staff really is underpaid for what they do but as far as everything with the campus goes I would recommend that I would recommend that I would recommend looking up the website so you know where you're going if you're looking for something in particular you'll be able to find that rather easily through the website and you can also chat with someone if you need to. You can find help with everything from Career advancement job place manic cetera to next Saturday to financial aid and so on. The new buildings and the additions and renovations to the other buildings at the main campus are top notch and I really loved being at the school I'm disappointed that disappointed that I have to move to a 4 year school it's been a honor.
CNM uses CARES ACT funding to pay for classes that are never attended by students. I was registered for a class I never showed up and was charged and paid for through the CARES act. They have made the website so difficult in the last 15 years that you can't even figure out how to add the classes on your own. They are fraudulently using this financial money. I find it ridiculous that they can keep using this money to pay for classes that students are not attending. Most schools will drop a student who is not attending a class or never showed up. CNM will use government funding to pay for these empty classes of students who have never attended and probably never even registered for the class. Government really needs to look into how this money is fraudulently being used. I'm living proof that the government is paying for classes that have never been attended not even one day by a student. Guess the rest of the money goes to remodeling all the landscaping. They should take back the money and use the more simplified version of my CNM that they had 10 or 15 years ago that was logical and simple straightforward. I've got a degree now and can't even seem to navigate areas in the website and have problems adding myself to the waitlist.
