The room was gross. Bathroom smelled like vomit and the kitchen smelled like old food. There was an air freshener in the room so they clearly knew something was going on. Oh, and both sinks were clogged and disgusting. The bed seemed fine but with everything else going on in that room, who knows. Hopefully I don’t feel itchy later today.
Pro: Allows dogs Con: Owner left and at least two dogs were barking like crazy while owner was away. Pro: Seems like a go-to choice for blue-collar workers. Con: Couldn't tell if it was new mud in the stairwell each day, or same mud hadn't been cleaned up. Pro: Fridge, stovetop, microwave, and able to borrow toaster oven to make own food. Con: Only food/beverage offered for free was free coffee. Pro: Walking/driving distance to restaurants. Con: No sidewalks so can't walk. Pro: Phone in room. Com: Tried to call front desk and all the buttons on the phone that led me to think would dial the front desk kept calling another person at the hotel. We were both very confused each time I ended up calling him...
The hotel and room was super dirty. There was hair on the counters, bed and all over the bathroom. They had construction going on in the hallway with loud music and power equipment sounds. The walls by the bed had brown spatter and the thermostat had blood stain on the buttons. When we went to ask for a refund, the woman at reception was very rude and unapologetic. Will never return here, terrible experience.
Great place to stay for business meetings…located near the airport as wel as business in Appleton…Rooms are neat & tidy,with mini kitchen-stove/dishwasher & utensils,ample parking space available…cleaning staff doing great job,keeping the rooms squeaky clean..reception staff is not that great as per my opinion,not so good vibes from reception as such.. Hotel has a laundry-washer & dryer…small gym with limited equipment in place… Overall,good spot to stay for a while,especially if looking for rooms with kitchen…
The room was fine. Location was fine. Folks working here are nice enough. Paid more than double the normal rate to stay at a mediocre hotel, but it was a home game weekend for the Packers, so supply and demand... What isn't fine is that I was charged for my room stay on Saturday, which has already cleared, but still have a "pre-authorization" for the same amount that started today (Tuesday). A pre-authorization shouldn't need to occur after my stay has already happened, and is not a problem that I have encountered at any other hotel I have stayed at. A pre-authorization should hold the funds, and then turn into a charge when the stay is completed. More frustrating, in trying to figure out why I had an extra pending charge, I called the hotel 3 times and nobody picked up. I tried calling the IHG main line, only to be told that they would pass along my concern to the hotel. There are plenty of other places to stay in the area. I'll pick a different one next time.
