Budget Car Rental
What people are saying
We picked up our car after 1,5 hour wait time. The car size (SUV) that we reserved was not available. According to the staff at the desk no car was available. We were offered a Ford F150, which we declined. Then we got a limousine, which could not fit all our 4 mid size luggage at all. We replaced that again with a pretty nice new Minivan, but as soon as we started the engine the Oil check required sign was on. We declined that car too after some discussion, telling us that the message will disappear within 24hours and if we want we could come back tomorrow. Which we also declined and asked again for a replacement. Every time we had to run between the garage and the budget counter in the other building, the staff was unable to help us in the garage themselves. We finally got a matching SUV car (after searching ourselves in the garage and telling the staff, a Nissan Rogue with around 48000 miles on the counter. It was dirty inside and we needed to take the garbage out from the customer before us. The tires had no profile at all. In Europe this would be illegal and we didn't expect such a condition from a well known car rental agency. After 3 hours we could proceed to the exit and started our journey. So all in all, not what we expected from a car rental company, especially with a prepaid reservation of a SUV and provided flight number for a more exact timely pickup. But sadly it was the same experience like other reviewers here.
I would never do this again. Using Turo next time. Super expensive i rented through costco. I haven't rented since well before the pandemic, but I remember places taking personal insurance. This place did not, so I paid a pretty price for this rental. Also it was the DIRTIEST car I've ever been in. You all could get a bissell and at least TRY to clean it. Why are there tread marks on the ceiling?! I felt so grossed out driving it and promptly took showers upon return to my hotel..just because I felt so disgusted sitting in a car. The passenger seat WAS SO NASTY that i chose to drive my husband around so i could avoid the seat. Seriously, take some pride in your vehicles. Revolting.
Not impressed. Employees were polite enough, but I had other issues. Counter in airport had ridiculously long lines - more than 3x more people than any other agency combined. I had 30+ minute wait on a Wednesday morning after learning that just having a fast break account doesn't mean you can go straight to the garage like their sign says. I was told my Fast Break was incomplete (probably because they had deactivated my old one so I had to generate a new one this trip) so I had to go all the way back into the airport and wait in the line. Plus allow extra time b/c rental period starts at airport counter & cars are deep in the garage across the street. Lastly, I did a agency choice car and got a gas guzzling Nissan Titan (15mpg) with no elevator control on the driver seat. I'm 5'2" and couldn't see over the hood very well. The exit attendant (the nicest and only really helpful employee I dealt with) said I could go back to the counter to get a different car... I didn't have the extra time to deal with their lines. I think I'll go back to Enterprise. The extra $20 cost probably would have been worth it.
The staff at the desk on Thursday night 6/13/2024 were very friendly and courteous. I watched them patiently deal with a difficult customer. The customer was entirely in the wrong, but the staff was very patient and did their best to help him. BUT, whoever is responsible for cleaning the cars needs some improvement. We received our car with crumbs in every possible compartment, greasy fingerprints on the windows, gps/cell phone mount rings on the windshield, and sunscreen on the leather seats. Some sort of brownish-orange stain in the holes on the driver side rear seat as well.
Cheaper option but that's exactly what you got. Car was so dirty. The wheels and windows were so dirty they deff didn't clean it. The inside was semi clean, the cup holders were still sticky from the last people. It wasn't dusted. The heatsheild on the driver side was squealing the second I drove off (embarrassing). The car was nice but it was already pretty messed up ( dings, scratches) I made sure to take pictures of everything. Didn't even notice until the morning when we went to go out. We picked the car up at 1am. Also drop off gave me anxiety.. Just leaving w no one there to give you a receipt with inspection. You deff get what you pay for that's for sure. I'm still waiting for my 250 hold to go back into my account.
