Boise Spectrum Center
What people are saying
I like the chain of shops and restaurants. Legend sports bar and grill, Edward Cinema. A nice place to walk around. A big parking lot.
I haven't been to the movies in a while. I was sad to see that I had to go to a self-service kiosk to get a ticket. Then, the ticket is printed on thermal paper. What if I want to save the ticket as a memory of a great time. Will say that the price was less than before. The popcorn is just as good as I remember being. The seats were comfortable for the 2 plus hours long movie. The theater was clean. I recommend you get out of the house and go to the movies.
My dad and I were literally just there tonight, and we saw “Arthur The King”. GREAT MOVIE, by the way. We walked into this theater with no idea what we would see. I searched for a good-looking movie and found one that I thought would be interesting, and it was easy! They have self-checkout machines instead of real humans now, which I thought was odd. But it was easy to use. When we entered the lobby area of the theatre, the hostess checked our tickets and waved us inside, and also told us which theatre to go to. Ordering food is sort of a longer process than usual because BSC offers WAY more types of food now, too. Including: crispy chicken sandwiches, pizzas, nachos, and a whole bunch of other options. So be prepared to spend at least 15-20 minutes waiting in line, ordering food, paying for it, then walking to your theatre. The previews take at least 15-20 minutes as well, so if you’re running late, don’t worry so much! This place has games to play incase you get there too early. There is also a Photo Booth, if the mood strikes you. This place is fun!
I actually really like being in this area. It's not nearly as busy as the uninspiring Village area and has better restaurants and a comparable first run movie theatre. One of the reasons for the lack of patrons is the remnants of a deep economic recession that this place has seemingly yet to come out of, especially with newly competing entertainment plazas. This area recently added the outdoor furniture and touristy attractions like the BOISE letters to encourage the photograph generation to visit here.
Boise spectrum center is a great place to visit with many amenities art and music. Also an awesome place to see 40 IMAX movies. In the summer they hold concerts every Thursday night live music on something for the whole family all ages friendly and a beautiful landscape too. I highly recommend Boise spectrum center as a must see if you're visiting the Boise area from out of town.
