Beyond Bread
What people are saying
For Airport food this is pretty good. Got the Brads Beef sandwich (pastrami) service is a bit slow for how empty it was but good sandwich for my flight
Shame on a place that situates itself in an airport, where speed and efficiency are paramount. It’s Labor Day weekend. People are flying, people are stressed, and navigating food quickly before your plane should be a given. I ordered food for myself and my kids before boarding my plane. There were three people ahead of us at the time. 20 minutes later we were still waiting for our food. And our plane was waiting for us. Literally they boarded the entire plane and we were the hold up. I expressed my concern to the one person who was manning the kitchen and making the sandwiches. Perhaps going slower is the only way she could exert control over us and the situation. Which is what she did. I let her and the cashier know that our plane was leaving and they were closing the gate. I needed either my money refunded or whatever sandwiches they had made. These options seemed to slow them down even more. They just stared blankly at me. And the snail pace was beyond comprehension. Everything made them move slower. No one cared. No one cared at all. Their manager wasn’t there so I would have been out the money for three sandwiches (cheese, Pb&j and Frida) and no food. I’m going to let the pictures do the rest of the talking. My sandwich was supposed to come with bacon. If you can spot it please let me know. It’s probably supposed to be by the yellow tomato and the wilted lettuce. Beyond is an understatement. Beyond comprehension, heavy on the bread. Don’t come here before the airport. Or if you do, go yo another location where the food and the service is far better.
I ordered Santiago's Sonoran egg sandwich at the airport location and was amazed by how big it was! I knew it would be delicious because it's Beyond Bread, and it didn't disappoint. I was a little sad that the coffee wasn't as hot coming out of the coffee holder as I would've liked, but employee Rosa went above and beyond, brewing a new pot and even bringing me a fresh cup along with cream and sugar. She's amazing!
Fine if you’re starving and have a ton of time to kill. Speedy they are not. I travel in and out of TIA a couple times a month and every once in awhile I convince myself this time it’ll be different. They have absolutely zero sense of urgency. Every time it’s the same. Who ever is working behind the counter eventually meanders over to the register to take your order—no greeting “I’ll be right with you” which is fair bc they definitely will not. I often wonder if I’m invisible. Then they take the orders of the multiple people who have inevitably stacked up. It usually takes no less than 20 mins start to end.
The Brad’s beef sandwich was delicious and the bread was toasted perfectly! The peppers gave just enough kick. The cranberry white scone was good also. Pedro and Alma were very friendly! Thank you.
