Looking for a get-a-way? Here it is! Pool parties Fri and Sat.....unless reserved for a huge party, but hey, if you can swing it, the place is for you and your guests only! The bubbles were the best part about the party, the DJs played great music and took requests. Pool is very long with plenty of seating. The casino is great with free drinks as long as you play and stay for a while! What did you expect? Get over it, its still a great time taking the risk to win big!
The only thing to do here is gamble and eat at a restaurant sometimes. The restaurants have limited hours of operation but the casino is open 24/7. And the slots do seem to pay out more often than some places. As it goes in a casino, they take just as quickly though. There is no pool but I think a spa is available. It must be appointment only because I've never seen it open. And you are allowed to keep your pets with you at the hotel so that is nice if you have a pet. Basically this place is great for what it is and that's all there is. Love to gamble....go to Bally's. Love to swim or hangout with family then find a different resort. Or walk down the street to the riverfront.
We went only to eat breakfast at Paradise Cafe, but from what we saw, this casino is Such a beautiful place. Everyone was so nice. Breakfast was delicious and very fulfilling (I had the Western Omelette no bell peppers or onions)! Our waitress was outstanding! She was very attentive and served us with a smile. She even gave some great suggestions about the menu....very knowledgeable.
Ok, we haven’t been here since 2019 due to COVID and work. Having said that, things change and COVID almost ruined the service industry. We booked without asking questions. The bars weren’t open except certain days, the restaurants aren’t open except certain days, all of this was frustrating, especially considering how great and memorable our last stay was. Having said that, we ate dinner tonight st “Vintage Bar” and it was probably the best meal, service, fun, drink, overall experience we’ve had in years. Our server Ben was a veteran gentleman from beginning to end. Can’t say enough great things about him and his service. The food was exquisite. The environment was amazing. At the end of the day, the service side of Bally’s overcame the issues we had. I can’t imagine staying somewhere else. I look forward to this place being back at full steam! Finally, thank you Ben for reminding us how great people can make a difference sir.
The hotel rooms are filthy. Two elevators in the lobby have been out of service for months, along with the elevator inside the casino. The Vintage restaurant was horrible. We had a $55 ribeye that was so thin, it looked like it came from a $5 for $20 value pack. It was dry and tough. The baked potatoes used to be big enough to share, but now they're small and definitely not shareable, especially for the $12 price tag. We thought our favorite dessert might make up for the bad experience, but the new chef discontinued it. It was their Jack Daniel's cake that was several layers and served with pralines and ice cream. Even though it's still on the menu, they don't have it. Our waiter told us that the new chef made some changes. Their service was sanded by their bus boy who was hustling and very attentive. I can't say the same about our waiter
