I booked a rental car from Avis. I accidently said 7 am return instead of 7 pm return. The lady at the desk did not mention anything about a return time. I even asked if they would be open when I return it for, I have a flight out of here at 8pm. That still didn't trigger the person behind the desk to let me know my car was booked until 7 am. I returned the car 12 hrs late. I was charged 81.99 for one additional day, another concession recovery fee of 13.09, fuel service of 7.99 stating I took vehicle out with 15.9 gallons and returned it with 15.0 gallons. Airport charge of 12.00 Vehicle license coup 2.34 and additional late fee of 15.00. For grand total of 142.84 plus tax 158.56 because my car was 12 hours late. I didn't even pay that much for the 3 days I had the rental. When contacted their customer service, I was told that they would refund me for the gas, and I said you all charged me more than I paid for entire trip. His told me "Well return the car on tine and you won't get charged." This company is an absolute rip off, their customer service people are Ruthless and obviously do not care about their customers. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN. I am a travel nurse and I have never had a worse experience.

Made a reservation for a car to pick up from Fayetteville Airport and once arriving there the extremely rude front desk ladies said there were no cars available. Despite there being 7 options for the same type of car literally on the lot upon arrival, they would not rent any of them to the customer, and had zero excuses. What is the point of making a reservation when the scum at the front desk refuse to help you? The site where the reservation was made, PRICELINE, was also a rip off because it obviously does not communicate with the actual rental services. The absolute last time I will use AVIS or PRICELINE, and will share this experience with everyone I know so they can avoid this blatant disregard for customer service, business policy, and just basic human decency.

Worst service ever, don't waste your time or your money. They don't care for their customers, an the manager Daniel needs a lesson in manners and respect! Wasn't helpful didn't care my money was already spent, dismissed my wife n I an said conversation was over as if he was speaking to a child. As a man I'm not tolerating disrespectful behavior you guys need a new staff at this point because your employees are upset their at work an are giving your company a bad name. Numerous occasions it's been multiple accounts of the same guy being disrespectful to customers that he wouldn't dare speak to like that outside of that establishment. On top of that without even trying to help he tried to stall an pass my wife by hoping we'd ask for a refund when we paid in advance. If that's how you treat pre-paid customers is crazy.taking my business elsewhere because ive been here for hours still an while I write this review still at the airport without any help or service... UNACCEPTABLE. DANIEL NEEDS TO FIND A NEW JOB HONESTLY

The only reason I gave it one star is because the kid at the front desk in Newport mall Jersey city was able to give me a refund for the day the car broke down. They rented is an allegedly new car equinox. We drove to Fayetteville NC and parked the car. Came out to pick up the children and the car wouldn't start. It wouldn't even allow us access to the inside. It took us all day to get another vehicle. The people at avis were complete a**holes and pushed everything to OnStar. OnStar did the best they could to accommodate us. We had to pay 37 dollars to get to the airport to pick up a new vehicle. No one knew what was wrong. Save yourself the headache and rent somewhere else. These pictures were of the new smaller car we had to get. Eventhough we paid for a bigger to accommodate our son who is over 6ft tall. The cars aren't clean, but you have to return them clean or they will charge. They attempted to charge for the gas on the broken down equinox, but I guess god stepped in and they didn't. I wrote to the bbb and found they are not even accredited. They have yet to respond to my claim.
