AMTRAK Cumberland Station
What people are saying
Great stop and small town
Cumberland station is nice and clean. No vending machines.
This station is on the small side but it's conviently located downtown. It has heat and air conditioning in the waiting room, outlets and clean bathrooms. It's perfect just for waiting for the Amtrak (no food, no drinks, no magazines, nothing fancy in the waiting room).
Serviced once a day in each direction to DC and Chicago by Amtrak's Capitol Limited, it should be at least twice that. Beware, this station is located on the bad side of town. I would have transportation arranged to pick you up upon arrival. I wouldn't want to be alone for long here, especially if you stick out as a tourist.
I just stopped at this station while my train going to Pittsburgh to a 5 minute break. It's a nice train station.
