AMC Brunswick Square 13
What people are saying
**Review for Movie Theatre** I recently visited this theatre and was disappointed. The screen was too dim, making it hard to enjoy the movie. The single-level seating meant poor visibility, especially if someone tall sat in front. Additionally, the decor and facilities felt outdated. A modern update is much needed to improve the experience.
The staff was awesome and very helpful with gift cards and snacks, and the facility was clean. The cleanliness and service aspect of AMC Brunswick Square 13 is a 5 star experience, which has improved greatly since our last visit. Well done, ladies! Unfortunately, we endured 27 minutes of previews and commercials after the posted start time, which gives AMC corporate a minus 2 rating. About five minutes of previews and a courtesy reminder are expected, but 27 minutes? SERIOUSLY?! They should pay us to sit through their overly long self-promotion activity or simply list the actual start time of the movie.
I recently visited the AMC theaters in East Brunswick, NJ, and while I enjoyed the movie and found the place clean and comfortable, my experience was marred by the staff's unfriendly demeanor. Upon entering, it was evident that the employees seemed disinterested and unenthusiastic about their jobs. The young man behind the concession stand was particularly rude, blatantly annoyed that he had to serve us. It's one thing to face high prices for popcorn and soda, but to be treated poorly on top of that feels like a double insult. Even though the movie was great and the theater itself was well-maintained, the staff's treatment significantly detracted from our experience. It's disappointing that a company as large as AMC fails to properly train their employees in basic customer service. The management should be ashamed of the lack of training and the horrendous hospitality displayed by their staff. In conclusion, while I enjoyed the film and the comfort of the theater, the unpleasantness of the staff makes me hesitant to return. Customer service is crucial, and unfortunately, AMC East Brunswick fell short in this area. I would think twice before spending any more money with this company.
The movie was good. The sound system and projection were okay. I have been to other AMC theaters in the area, and they are much better. This theater is in a mall and originally was three screens expanded to about 10. In the present multiscreen configuration, the theaters are small, and you need to go through a maze of narrow, dingy hallways to get to them. The restrooms are tiny. Basically they tried putting 10 pounds into a 5 pound bag. The reclining seats are nice, but mine was stuck in reclined. The rugs need to be replaced. This theater needs to be refurbished. The other nearby AMC theaters are first class.
Place is a bit rundown. You can tell the overall interior hasnt been updated, touched, or renovated in years. A little dingey inside. Theater screens definitely need an update. Ours was slightly blurry, almost like it was struggling to get to 1080p resolution, there were weird lines being cast onto the screen from the projector, and audio quality was oddly quiet and that theater bass you're used to just wasn't quite there. Theater itself was unclean, I accidentally stuck my fingers into a cupholder with some sort of liquid and mushy straw wrappers. Only reason it gets two stars is the staff was really nice. Box office, security, and concession staff were really nice and friendly and the popcorn itself was fresh despite them preparing to close.
