I am rating the restaurant on one visit after having ordered the bacon cheeseburger. The cheeseburger was good. The place was an absolute throw back to the 80's. See photos. The place looked clean but everything from tables, chairs, music was pure 80's. I am not sure if this was intentional. I will return to try other items like their pizza that had been highly recommended.
First visit....very nostalgic interior vast assortment of food to choose from. Choose the 1/2 basket mix appetizer and it was a mountain of crispy fried delicious wonderfulness...ordered a pizza as well came with heeping toppings had two waitresses working a pretty busy crowd and they were wonderful ...very helpful explaining the menu and came back several times to check on us....would definitely come back again and recommend to friends and family...definitely was a locals favorite! Good eats!!!
We had 10 in our party and had not called ahead. However they set us up very quickly and accommodated us very well. We are from California and we're looking forward to Iowa pork tenderloins. They were just as we had hoped they would be. Thank-you Z's restaurant!!
If you arent getting the pizza, look elsewhere. Although there pizza is among some of the best slices I've ever had, the remainder of the self prepared menu is incredibly lack luster in taste. The quality does not match the price, I'm afraid. The staff is friendly, but the food does not meet its expensive quality.
Love the atmosphere. Very friendly and laid back. Good wait staff and good beer selection. Love the onion rings and pickles chips. Not a huge fan of the pizza sauce but others are.
