YORK Food and Drink
What people are saying
This place is great, ordered a pork and cheese charcuterie. Great quality on the cold cuts, the salami and prosciutto were delicious. We had an aged Gouda and a Camembert. I also had a caramel macchiato and it was great. Made in the traditional Italian style. Great place to stop on a date in Ann arbor.
Great location, drinks, staff. Very nice to come work at during the day, very open and chill atmosphere. Sometimes some socially inept upper class townies come here and make everyone else wish the revolution came sooner. Besides that, great venue.
Absolutely amazing! The employees are knowledgeable and helpful. They have (very graciously) taught me so much about wine. The prices are more than reasonable. Even if you don't usually spend the money to go to wine bars, I recommend the wine bar at York.
We tried this place for the first time last night for drinks and appetizers and were so impressed with the service and quality of food. We also sampled Ricewood BBQ while there as well, which is a neat Korean BBQ joint located inside York. We mainly went for their featured cocktail last night - The Mayan Spice! It was superb and very well crafted with a unique spice. We enjoyed that with their Charcuterie board which was full of delicious cheese and meats freshly cut when we ordered. We also ventured to their Wine Store located in the back of York’s building, past the dining area. We were blown away with the help from the Wine Expert working there last night, and their helpful suggestions. We left with a few bottles of wine that we had never seen anywhere else before. I definitely will go back here for my wine and cheese shopping, and to enjoy their unique dining atmosphere and delicious options.
We placed a to go order for two sandwiches, one of which was a kids sandwich. It took us over an hour waiting for our order even though I placed it in advance. I could tell that they were super busy so I was trying to be patient but when you see other people order, get their food eat and leave while you're still waiting it gets quite frustrating. I ended up going up to the counter after 35 min of waiting in store and being told our sandwiches still weren't ready. No offer to fix this issue and when our sandwiches were ready no one called out our order and I had to stand in line a second time. The only sentiment I got was sorry were understaffed today. I get being busy but an hour and fifteen minute wait is crazy when it's just two sandwiches. They were good but waiting with a kid that long was not worth it. Also, I ordered a kids ham and cheese and it didn't even have ham on it as well as it being cold. After my post, the owner was very understanding about sorting out the situation and making it right. I really appreciated it. Hopefully the staff was just having an off day
