Wilson's Country Grill
What people are saying
Wilson’s recently opened and the parking lot was very busy. We were seated pretty quickly, and ordered fairly quickly as well. I got the chicken fried steak dinner with a side of chili and side salad. Mrs. Flip Out ordered the chicken strip dinner with a side of green beans and sweet potato fries. One thing that stood out was that everything appeared to be made in-house, and the fried foods had a nice crispy crust. The gravy was very thick and salad was very fresh. I have definite opinions about chili, and theirs was ok. The chicken strips had good flavor and were generously portioned. The sweet potato fries were good. Good to see another family friendly restaurant in Woodward.
If you like Grilled Chicken Salads, I recommend Wilson’s Country Grill. Very tasty!
The waitress didn't know the menu very well (maybe she was new). We got buffalo chicken wings and they were 80% fat with basic sauce. Oklahoma steak was good but nothing special. I think the price was a little high vs the quality.
I have mixed feelings on this place.. When I have eaten steaks, they have been 4 star quality. However.. my last visit I had the chicken fried steak and it was sub par, at best.. The batter would Not stay attached to the meat. Obviously deep fried, not good. Service was fair. The manager is super annoying. Always wanting to have extended conversations with the customers
Don't go hungry! Food takes forever and we weren't there at the busiest of times. Wish they would serve the salad before the meal instead of with it. Makes more sense and your customers don't sit there forever with nothing. Steaks were chewy and salty. Salmon was cold and dry. Baked potato was hot. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because the server was attentive.
