An awful morning at best. I recently moved to Crookston and have shopped at Walmart a couple of times. Today I noticed they sell tobacco at a fair and reasonable price. They also have an abundance of variety and different tastes. Wow this is great I don’t have to walk down town to a convenience store, everything is here at Walmart. Well, actually not. I arrived early to Walmart this morning and was told the lane is closed. I asked if there was anyone arriving soon to help me. “I dont know” “If it’s closed it’s closed” “I dont work in that area I dont know the schedule I dont know anyone” these are the words that were physically spoken to me by an employee. Seriously? Perhaps it was too early and morning dew with the fog has clouded the mind of this Walmart employee. I waited once more and another employee arrived. Awesome. I asked if they can help me and they said yes. I made my way to the lane to purchase American Spirits. Well another employee arrived from what appeared to be a side door to a back room. Ah so there are more employees here. It isnt an empty store with only a few souls in sight. This employee approaches me and tells me unfortunately it is going to be a while. I said thats alright I will wait. Then she says “no, a while”. Ahh I understand now. After she explains the system broke down over night and the tobacco cant be pulled off the shelf to scan on any other register. I concluded what is really at fault here. Professionalism. It didnt matter that I had walked a distance to purchase American Spirits and have a great day afterwards because of the experience to acquire what I need from a retailer when I need. No, what mattered was the effortless story to convince me the system was down and there was no other explanation to provide me with helpful information other than “we cant disclose that right now”. I wonder if there is any McDonald Ice Cream Machine Broken signs I may have missed while entering the store. I give one star.

Never any cashiers , not good produce selections ..... I did however catch a lot of fish with the bait(worms) from Walmart.. so there's that.

Walmart does not have enough toy products mainly the lego Section. could be much much bigger. The customer service is terrible there.There's not enough Check out lanes. And only self check is usually open. Not a single employee in the whole building seems to know what they are actually doing. From toys to clothes to food. You might as well not ask for any help. Because they are gonna tell you it's not their department.
